I read it perfectly fine. The only paragraph in which you provide anything resembling numbers gets caught, as I said, in the “correlation does not equal causation” trap.

“For one, they’re aerodynamically inefficient. If you opt for the largest wheel on a Tesla Model X, your range is reduced by about 10%. This is true

No, but RIP feels better than Eat Shit.

something i find useful is using cached pages from a search engine to peek behind those walls although i much prefer having the whole article brought to me like this.

So, who ever is currently in charge of Chevrolet’s design team (I suspect Michael bay) needs to be fired and has no business doing this.

Except they made the wrong call. The rule says a player blocked into the ball shall have the touch disregarded. So once again, replay takes a call made correctly on the field and overturns it.

The replay pretty clearly shows the K-State player blocking the OU player into the ball, so by rule that should be Sooners ball. But as with most things to do with replay, they look for one technical violation and ignore others.

Gabe’s take on this is so bad it feels like he had money on the game.

The fact that some of them had a rear air conditioner is pretty extra, too. And then there was the instrument binnacle that moved with the steering wheel, though that wasn’t unique because at least Mazda later stole it.

The Redskins have a history and heritage to maintain. Racist name that was unacceptable even 50 years ago? You bet. Objectionable fans who embody the worst of us? In spades. A field that resembles the litter box of a diabetic cat? Forever and always.

Bigger things are to come.

he offered to go get ice cream with the kid to patch things up.

always wondered how it’s possible that I see so many brand new trucks and SUVs driving around. Most aren’t below $50k brand new and many are more like $70k.

I wouldn’t say “forced” unless you mean they have no self control and cant tell themselves no. There are plenty of cheaper options for the suburban dad that goes to home depot 3-4 times a year than a $50-70k truck.

People want jobs but they also don’t want GM to make the same mistakes leading up to 2008.

I look at it like gun ownership. I’m not going to live my life in fear of some statistical improbability and try to prevent something that can never be 100% prevented by making myself part of the problem. Buying an SUV only contributes to the arms race of size and buying a gun only makes you MORE likely to be involved

It isn’t about the mpgs, it’s about the size. Taking up way more of a lane that was designed with a safety margin for much narrower cars; taking up a parking spot and a half; backing in and sticking the bed out over the sidewalk (and low hanging trailer hitch right at shin height); the sheer mass and inertia of a

I don’t think you’re going to argue reason with anyone who uses phrases like “Don’t like that I get less mpgs than you? Eat a scabby dick and worry about your own pitiful and sad existence.” That guy is a coal roller at his core, if not literally.

Except that not using a truck to full capacity often consists of somebody daily-driving a crew cab longbed by themselves. Sure, the driver feels superior with their high seating position and 3-4 tons of metal surrounding them! The problem is that everybody else on the road can barely see past you, whilst hoping to God

If you’re driving a truck at stock ride height with all emissions equipment intact, you’re fine and no need to apologize.

My car does this for twenty minutes straight. There's something going on with the electrics.
