Yes you are

Nah dude, Rockstar’s still great. One unfortunate game does not a bad studio make. GTA IV, Vice City, Bully, RDR, The Warriors? All good games.

I hope twitch grinds him into the dirt, until he drops his bullshit suit.

Ding Ding Ding

As someone who never got into twitch and streaming and have no clue who all these people are, this whole situation, and the clip at the end in particular, just feels like grown ass men behaving like schoolkids.

What did they take though? They had a program look, and report back it saw a specific thing. That’s it. Also, this is all very likely in the Terms of Service that everybody agreed to.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. I am a software engineer.

1. but they aren’t. it only looks for cheat software. the program checks for the specific programs, and if you have em on, alerts arena net. There’s no human looking into your files.

Lol are you a lawyer? Blizzard has been doing this for years and it has held up in court several times. Its absolutely legal.

While I get where you’re coming from, you’re acting like this is some invasion of privacy when it really isn’t. Any online game has ToS that you agree to and they have their methods for making sure people aren’t cheating, including verifying what programs run concurrently with their game. Just because the ToS is too

.... nah, man.

Cheater in other games complains that he was unfairly banned from a game he doesn’t cheat in, and alleges that the game company is cheating in how it finds cheaters.

You’d be right.

I rented it when it came out, because it sounded interesting. I hadn’t been following the game too closely and wanted to try a sandboxy type game.

I LOVED it.

It was only a couple days later when I went online looking for more info on the game and saw the drama that was all over the place online.

But as

What if I told you, Neo, that No Man’s Sky was a good game from launch?

I joined a galleon that had 2 people on it and was almost immediately thrown into the brig despite using voice and text chat to say hi and ask what the plan was. In return for their dickishness I shot the gun powder crates they had stored below deck.

This is insanely dickish. Why does he or she HAVE to communicate with you? You could have just hung out and cashed in at least, even if you didn’t do any work. They might not have known how to do pre-written messages and might not have had a headset. Friggin’ ridiculous, kid.

It may not have been his fault. Xbox has by default an option selected to block all forms of communication. When I was trying to play with friends I couldn’t hear them and had to find the setting and turn it off.

Oh yeah, I remember in history class reading bout the dread pirate XxJewishquestion69xX.

I have a genuine problem with games with no “opt-out” option or segregated PvP maps, unless of course PvP is the point, ie Overwatch. Sea of Thieves sounds like a controller snapping evening waiting to happen, and similarly The Division’s Dark Zone is a nightmare hellscape where Joy (and the game’s narrative) screech
