Nintendo has to protect their IP. Leaving it up opens a whole mess of worms for them in the world of copyright. This isn’t simply someone releasing something fan made. It’s in direct competition with their own product, for free, using Nintendo’s copyrighted ideas and properties.

So in otherwords you are a dumbass with the mindset that the same game you love should not be supported fiscally because a fan wasn’t given the nod or ignored? That’s stupid, highly stupid to the point of being an proud idiot.

So you think Nintendo shouldn’t make new Metroid games? That’s some dumb ass logic . It pains me to even use that word actually

I will not be buying the Nintendo version specifically because of stuff like this

It’s so stupid people are saying they will boycott this because of the fan game.

Well there we go.

Although these answers will undoubtedly lead some to cry censorship—to accuse Nintendo of forcing its Japanese developers to make changes just to appeal to Western gamers—

It all kind of makes sense now. As much as we love Xenogears, the game was technically deficient in some areas. Load times were very long and horribly inconsistent and game has some of the most questionable platforming in an RPG.

As far as I can tell there has never been an official answer, so I am extremely thrilled to be able to provide one, 19 years later.

So Metroid Prime 4 “blew your mind” with it 30 second trailer of the title “Metroid Prime 4"? Did I miss actual gameplay footage? I will agree with KH3 and Devolver Digital.

A strike is a last resort. They tried other ways, and those didn’t work.

Respectfully, fans, as a rule, don’t make mortgage payments for you, or pay for your kids’ college, or keep your retirement fund flush for when you decide you don’t want to do your job anymore. Better pay does. Residuals do.

To me it says the money is more important than the fans who fell in love with you for your work

So how would you suggest that the union members fight for what should be rightfully theirs?

Maybe we consumers need to take a stand and boycott products made by scabs.

Shooting yourself in the foot is continuing to work a job that isn’t providing the pay/benefits you need.

Come on, the Wii was a gigantic hit right from the start, yet Nintendo did some of their best work on it, even long after the money was already pouring in.

The Galaxy games were some of the best games ever made period, and Nintendo were hardly desperate during the Wii years.

You seem to miss the point...
