While Sansa and Arya were playing Littlefinger, B&W were playing themselves by not letting the audience in on the plot.

There’s a lot of silly shit on this show, but get two actors like Dinklage and Headey in a room and it’s Lannister gold.
I see that the site is changing... I think it’d be great if you guys could add some TV Club links and episode grades, as well as movie reviews in the dead space under the You May Also Like section.
I saw this headline and immediately went to netflix thinking, wow the new season is out?
This is one of the weirdest shows. The first season to me was alright. Not really funny, but I decided to eventually watch season 2. Something about it actually made me want to keep on watching it even though still, it’s not the funniest show ever. Season 2 was definitely funnier, but that’s not what made it special.
I will definitely look into that! (Funnily enough, I spent most of my life feeling SURE that I had already read the book, when it turns out I was thinking of a completely different one — Into the Land of the Unicorns — all along! So it was a nice surprise to finally read it and find out how lovely it is.)
I’m just really happy to see this comment here, as I only just recently finally read the book (after loving the animated film since childhood), and it’s just as beautiful. It’s also, actually, one of the most faithful adaptations I’ve ever seen; there’s very, very little that’s in the book that doesn’t end up in the…
Linguistically it’s absolute bollocks but it makes for a fun episode.
They’ll speak entirely in metaphor. Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra!
Vague, fleeting memories of this movie haunted me as a child. Even when specifics about the plot and character have left me.
The Last Unicorn is so wonderful - but you’re so right, it was really my window into mortality when I was a child. With time, Molly Grue gets clearer and clearer to me.
AVQ&A about change...Bravo A.V Club.
That look screams “Dungeonmaster”
who knew a cartoon about a talking horse would become one of my favorite things to watch. can’t wait for this.
As a long time AV Club lurker I am just glad to see some of the old gang survive the transition. Thanks for the free entertainment all. Now get back to the making of silly pun threads!
Or that being a “beauty icon” precludes a character from being anything else.
Gettin’ real tired of old white men telling me what is and isn’t feminist, in general.
This wasn’t James Cameron’s hill to die on. He might even have a point, but it just can’t come from an old white guy. Especially when the movie was directed by a woman, and was very well received by women at the box office.
Exactly. But, I also feel this inclusion gives more power to players who might want to argue against, let’s say, stubborn—to put it nicely—DMs who like to micromanage every aspect of the game and therefore force it to conform to their own personal worldview.
I don’t have anything pertinent to add, but I just wanted to say that this was a hell of an article. I don’t follow boxing or MMA very closely, but I was riveted. VERY well done.
