Nader is muddying the waters. The FSD Beta being tested by 100k vehicles have not been involved in any serious crashes (only curbing, worst one was hitting a bollard) despite people like him sounding the alarm when it launched more than a year ago. If you worked out the statistics on miles travelled, you would expect

I was surprised to see he wast still a “thing” lol. In addition to him I’ve been seeing a commercial during the news from another advocate calling for congress to shut tesla’s FSD down.

I’m going to jump on board with the Gizmodo Writers Suck, comments.

The Flex. A boxy station wagon that could be had with 355 hp (400 with a chip tune) How that gets on a list of bad cars on Jalopnik of all places is beyond me. I saw one the other day that was all murdered out and lowered. The stance wasn’t my cup of tea but I respected the guy for giving his Flex some love.

Sometimes I feel like the slideshow captions are penned by someone hired from Fiverr with little actual domain knowledge.

the Ford Flex is our family’s replacement for punch buggy. Beetles are all but gone these days. Flexs are common enough to see, but not in overwhelming numbers.  Plus, their roofline looks a lot like other cars at a distance, so you often get incorrect calls and hit backs over them.

They seem like a couple of buffoons. If she had later had an accident and killed someone, would they have found it funny? They should be at least suspended.

White privilege card or not, if those officers thought there was even the remote possibility she was under the influence she’d be out of the car and taking the tests. Just like many of my very white friends and myself when I lived in the 907. APD loved them a drunk driver.

Over the years, regulations have been changing to remove officer discretion, but they do still have some. If the officers involved got a laugh and didn’t think that she posed a danger, they were under no obligation to cite her.

I hate to say this, but sedans are doomed. Three reasons:

this is again why i laugh when people bitch about how much it costs to replace batteries on evs.  this was just a little 4cylinder and it was 11k to replace.

I hate to sound like I’m defending the asshole known as Elon Musk, but I found it funny when people kept criticizing him and Tesla for missing production goals.  Like no fucking surprise, a new company ran into production issues and thus missed their goals.  Why was it surprising.  Rivian, same issue of production

This “writer” needs to read “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.”  Five times. And then read it again, before publishing another word.

What a bizarre rant. I LOATHE the very existence of Elon Musk, but this is just a fun, goofy thing. Nothing more. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I think wet dumpster more accurately describes this title... Like I’m not a fan of Tesla, but COME ON, that’s just shitty journalism and clickbait.

I mean, in-ground pools are just wet holes in the ground. What a weird take.

It looks more like half a shipping container than half a dumpster. And lined with fiberglass?

You are stuck thinking in the past when a 4 cylinder motor made no power and was saved for economy cars. Modern 4 cylinders with turbos exceed the power of yesteryears V8s. My old 4.6 Ford made like 210hp and 280 ftlb of torque.

On roadtrips you can have your first leg (100%-10%) easily be 180-200mi and the other ones 100-150mi as the car charges much faster at the bottom. Charging to 100% or going deep in your battery once in a while is not going to be a problem as long as you don’t do it every single time. I very rarely go on road trips

200 miles is about right for me. You shouldn’t charge an EV more than 90% and shouldn’t go below 10%, so taking 20% off leads to around 150 miles.
