This has to be one of the best possible implementations of EVs - commercial trucks that only drive a limited range loop to begin with and would otherwise use quite a bit of fuel. The garbage trucks near me run on an alternative fuel derived from garbage anyways, so there’s an excellent precedent already set.
I would call this more different than weird. It’s not totally out of line with other cars today, particularly other sedans. The Ioniq 5 does look weird, and it’s a love/hate, but Hyundai’s other two EVs, the Kia EV6 and the Genesis 6v60, but look decidedly not weird. They just look like crossovers.
Not usually, there’s a video at the Madonna Inn in CA that gets thrown around repeatedly even though it was about 4 years ago and was at Thanksgiving - and some other factors leading to excessive crowding/waits.
I’m not a huge fan of his, but come on. PayPal, Tesla, Space X, and now Nuerolink. That’s not luck, that’s single-minded determination and an insane work ethic.
“The cyclist deserved it because one time I saw a cyclist roll through a stop sign”
I get that you’re trying to make a big impact with the slogan but it comes with a bit of an attacking tone. Something like “Automobile alternatives” or whatever might work better but the slogan isn’t even the point.
I’m always amazed at how tone deaf these types of slogans are (the ‘defund the police’ movement did the same thing). It’s almost like the people saying them would prefer to have an argument - or piss people off - than engage in substantive debate.
Yes to all that, but I still think that more careful slogans would work better. The average American is never going to see more than those two words (and they will be hammered in millions of times by reactionaries). It’s like how “Defund the Police” scared the s**t out of millions of Americans, when what we really…
Trying to co-opt your critics is an understandable, but in the end, it just means you’re accepting maximalist branding that will push away people who aren’t aware of the inside baseball that generated the slogan in the first place.
BAN CARS!
Absolutely no one was armed. Her entire “testimony” was hearsay, unbelievable BS. Trump is 74 years old and the thought he reached for anything based on this nuts second hand account is frankly too absurd to take seriously. I cannot wait for the footage since there is a 100% chance there is. Lets see the president…
“people want some autonomy, but still want overall control over their vehicles,”
1st Gear: “Both Berlin and Austin factories are gigantic money furnaces right now.”
I have this same exact car, but a 2021 model that I bought before prices went insane. In other words I got mine for a hair over $34k all in. Funny the GTI is mentioned in this article since a 2016 model was my ride up until I got into the Mazda. Do I miss some things about the GTI? Sure, the visibility was better and…
Always tricky to change your positioning without annihilating your core market. It would be sad if Mazda is not succeeding but the “luxury” market is a tough one. I would admit. I would pay more for a BMW or Mercedes over a Mazda.
Options. Like, the ability to add or remove most features without having to buy a trim level above or below that comes with more features you don’t actually want like a cable TV package. Like optioning in a better sound system but without being forced to get the leather seats because that sound system is only…
A. Thinner A pillars.
B. Bigger Windows/lower beltline
I want to drive around in a car, not a tank. See current gen taurus and camaro.
C. This is less feature and more color choice. Bring back forest green exteriors. It is the best color by far. I’m tired of the white crossover. (Literally I think I saw 8 different…
We need to fix revenue-through-fines. It’s an unconscionable conflict of interest.
Right now they’re expensive and it takes more energy to make them than you get out of them.
