It’s the reason I got a BRZ instead. The AWD and 4 doors would have been nice for ski runs. But as I was mostly doing long drives around the Mojave/L.A area at the time I just couldn’t put up with bad mileage on premium gas.

Also surprisingly, the BRZ can fit two people, two sets of skis, and luggage if you put the

Yeah, fuck those people that want to *checks notes* have one vehicle that does everything.

We really need to start getting a bit more granular when talking about SUVs, and decouple talking about them with trucks. When we are drawing a circle big enough to firmly include things as disparate as a CRV, a Q5, a f-350, and a Model Y, so of course it is going to be a really big percentage. I drive a BRZ, so I

You know go and well what is meant in this context.

Sending things into the sun takes quite a bit of deltaV. You are going to be making more trash than you are helping.

I honestly don’t hate the design except for the weird point at the top. I feel like they could have just gone with two wider angles so the very top would be flat.

Social media was a mistake.

Sorry torch, you can only keep this site afloat so much by yourself, I’m done and it’s off the bookmarks. To the 2-3 actual good car journalist here, now is the time to jump ship before this becomes a black mark on your career.

You think you put enough asinine qualifiers that have nothing to do with what the OP said on that comment?

Look, standard of living at lower incomes is just much higher in red areas. I bought a house in the trendy area of downtown Huntsville, AL for $180K. When I lived in Oxnard Ca, 60 miles outside L.A, I was paying

Almost for sure. I would imagen the fuel will have to be slowly phased out, by taxing it more and more, so so older aircraft can still fly safely.

Yeah a test drive is to find little things or answer clear questions you have. For example I found a used, low millage, BRZ at a really good price near me. The only issue was that it was an auto and I didn’t know if I would like that. Went to test it, liked it, and bought it. If I hadn’t have test drove it I wouldn’t

It felt like I was reading someone complaining that their Miata wouldn’t tow their boat well. Like, I get not to buy a car before you at least sit in it, but that wasn’t the issue here. This dude ignored car reviews, common sense , and the laws of physics, he would have ignored anything in a test drive too.

And he’s complaining about wind noise in a square off roader with a removable roof? There is something to be said about test driving a car to find out of certain idiosyncrasies are going to make it or break it for you; but you should come into that with at least some idea of what you are getting into.

Dude also says

Between my wife and I we make a bit good bit over 6 figures. Still, I can’t see paying much over $40k for a car unless it had a lot of value. That basically means an Outback and that’s it.

At that point I can just get basically any small truck or economy SUV and still have the utility.

I daily a BRZ so I mostly agree. Most of the time it’s just me and my backpack in my car. The issue is the 10% of the time that I do need something bigger, it makes a 4 door look good.

I’m ok with this.

They are it just demand stripped out their production capability. Even in the best of times it is super hard to expand capacity quickly.

Yeah, I could see Toyota turning the Rav-4 hybrid into a truck with not too much work. Honda might Hybridize the ridgeline, but the CRV hybrid has been a bit of a dud so I don’t see them truckifying that.

I don’t see Chevy making a truck smaller than the Colorado anytime soon. They don’t have a good unibody platform to

Also with inflation real object gain value and debts lose value. If you take a $25k lone today and inflation make the value of the dollar go down you truck still works just as well as it would without inflation, but your debt is now worth relatively less. Your lender gets screwed, but you come out on top.

I’m hoping that with AWD it will also come with the tow package. They nixed the tow package late in it’s testing on the FWD versions. I don’t care if the hybrid can’t d0 4000lbs, but 3500lb or even just 3000lbs would let you tow a small camper.
