I give all year round, there is nothing special about today. Giving Tuesday is just another marketing ploy to try and make hyper-consumerism of this time of year feel less awful. Yes, ultimately it has a good cause, but if you have causes you truly care about, you are likely already giving to them.

Exactly. I do find it strange when some people only compare mortgage vs rent whenever it should always be PITI vs rent so you definitely make a good point in reminding people that other payments exist on a house besides the mortgage.
One factor I constantly see skipped over is that the price of a mortgage is fixed, assuming you have the 15 or 30 year fixed rate. Insurance and taxes can go up but the mortgage doesn’t yet every article acts as if rent is consistent.
Would you feel bad about messing with people who’d been hired to repeatedly kick you in the crotch just because it’s their job?
Not sure if you visited his site, but it clearly states many times that these guys are trying to go around any do not call registry and are spoofing phone numbers and calling from numbers that arent real ( fouth digit is a 1 or 0 on caller ID)If these were legit businesses who said who they were when they first…
