To fix the pipes (take out plastic, put in metal) would mean closing the arena in the summer months which is the height of concert season for BC. I don’t see that happening especially since those concerts apparently bring in way more revenue and that’s part of the reason for the current news.

Not at all. I’m a Flyers fan living in NYC and the Islanders are the best hockey option. Rangers are too expensive and the Devils are doable but still a long trip from upper Queens.
