That's a really interesting question. I was thinking about the comparisons between this show and Agents of SHIELD, but this didn't even occur to me.

Yeah, I completely agree with this. It does almost seem like they have a Mad-Lib-type script for each recurring sketch. They just fill in the blanks.

I agree. I really hope they resist the urge to create recurring characters. It would be great if we never see the same character twice, at least for one season. Or maybe just limit recurring characters to once or twice a season, at least.

This has been a pretty strong season so far, especially for a "rebuilding" year. None of the new kids have been complete washouts, though Brooks Wheelan and Noel Wells need to find a friend in the writer's room ASAP.

Makes sense. I just didn't get that from the initial viewing. Thanks!

That move kind of reminded me of Stevie Janowski from "Eastbound & Down" for some reason. Lo Truglio is the real star of this show.

Yeah, I love "Do The Right Thing" and would probably put it in my top 25 favorite films of all time, but I never even made the connection. It would never have occurred to me that B99 would or should do an homage to DTRT.

Yeah, I'm kind of with you. I used to listen to her podcast and consistently enjoy it, as well as her appearances on CBB. But here, I just find the character kind of annoying, though she occasionally has a funny line.

I didn't get that. I thought that he ended up lowering the rope. I know we didn't really see the resolution, but I thought I saw the rope going down the well.

I kind of thought that "Nice job, buddy" directed at Frakes was sarcasm.

I love Gordon Ramsay. I've been fascinated by him ever since the first season of Hell's Kitchen. He's even more charismatic and charming on his UK shows. When he's not hamming it up for Fox, he is really supportive, in a tough love kind of way.

There are many reasons why this show shouldn't work, and often it doesn't, but I enjoy it and keep watching it.

Won't someone think of the dead children!?

Things I wish television critics would eliminate from their writing:
