At one point Bioware was probably my favorite developer but after Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Anthem, it’s hard to hope that this will be good. I just don’t know what is happening over there. The quote sticks with me, “Frostbite is full of razor blades,” said by one of the Anthem devs. Is the source of their problems

I assume these apology videos are monetized, which means that there is a direct financial incentive to stir up controversy and then apologize for it.  You’re bank account balance is smaller if you DON’T stir up controversy and then apologize for it.

Facebook can pry my eyeball movement data from my cold dead corpse!

This has been my friendly reminder that corporations are not my friend.

If this turns out to be true, a share of the blame should go to the publisher, Focus Home Interactive, and also the platform, Playstation. If they didn’t know, they should make it their business to know. It happens all the time.

You leave John Quincy Adams out of this!

I’m with you. I think that game development has a very deep bench and a lot of people would jump at the opportunity to work at Ubisoft, so all of these dirtbags are imminently replaceable. Are any of these individuals so amazing that there aren’t five other non-dirt-bags who can do their job?

When I die in Apex Legends I always ask myself “Ok, what did I learn?”

To me these are the three options for Guillemot:

Also don’t forget Robin Williams: “Politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often and for the same reason.”

“This embarrassing photo was taken to improve Facebook’s products and services.”

But Luke,” some will say, “what about my freedoms?!?” In a free country you are still not free to drive 90 miles an hour on a highway. We should treat this like any other selfish risky behavior, and start writing tickets. Let people off with a warning the first time even.

Playable Jimmy McGill CONFIRMED!!!!

I solved it: Call of Duty should add the full-on Hitler salute and then perma-ban any in game player that uses it.  Just add it to the end of the EULA that all the Nazis agreed to without reading.

Won’t somebody think of the poor maid who’s going to have to clean up after these fools?!?

I don’t think it’s gonna happen. When people play Apex and Fortnite for a 1000 hours for free, $70 might as well be $700.

In situations like this I picture a guy in a suit saying “Why doesn’t our company have a [insert popular game name here]?”

I keep going back to the monetization thing. If acting like a dirtbag brings in more viewers, then hasn’t Twitch incentivized being a dirtbag? If being a decent human being makes you destined for streamer poverty what is the solution here? Maybe one solution is to have an ironclad terms of service that actually has

If you’ve said it once, you’ve said it a thousand times.
