I met him briefly at the Rainbow on Sunset in... I wanna say... 2016? He was happy to take suggestive pictures with all my female friends. When they were done, I extended my hand to him and we had an exchange along the lines of:

Thanks being such an outspoken and effective advocate for sex workers.”

Yeah, because of the snowy, remote area it took over an hour for him to be airlifted out. Should have taken like 20 minutes or so to get him to the hospital.

There’s no making up for the years of ignored accusations. I expect the assumption from the outside was everyone in the circles he traveled in were blasted on eight kinds of drugs at a given time and wanted sex constantly. He was also the constant crazy man, life of the party and lost track of the difference between

If you ever had to deal with someone with dementia, its a far, far worse punishment than jail will ever be. Its a long slow drawn out slide until the mind is gone and finally ends in death. You are basically just sitting in your body, no memory, most of the time can’t even talk. You pretty much are just sitting there

My mom died of dementia last year and it is not an escape by any means. People think dementia is just confusion or memory loss, but it’s so much worse than that. As their brain degenerates, their body slowly shuts down. They lose control of basic bodily functions and become incontinent. In end stage dementia, the brain

I also question returning to his remote home to continue his recovery. It was the heavy snow in that isolated region that had him using large equipment that was responsible for his injury. Is that really the best place for continued medical care?

I thought he was wearing a Hannibal Lecter style mask for a second there.

In a statement, Jeremy’s attorney indicated that he believed his client would be found innocent if the case had gone to trial due to “additional discovery” he received, adding that “it is unfortunate due to mental condition he will not go to trial and have the opportunity to clear his name.””

Hey, as a fellow attorney

I doubt he was able to fake it well enough for the prosecution’s medical expert to determine he isn’t competent.

I think THAT was his appeal. This big, ugly, hairy dude getting with all these gorgeous women.  Dudes are like if HE can do it so can I!

Maybe he has advanced dementia. Maybe not.

I doubt he’s enjoying his current existence, for whatever that’s worth. He’s going to die in jail, albeit in a psych ward jail.

syphilis? that would be really interesting. but unless it’s some type of super-duper syphilis, i assume it would have been easily treated if detected.

It’s an awful, awful disease and the thing is, its’ not like he’ll be released. There’s no escape from this and no quality of life going forward.

On the flip-side, I doubt that many people would be willing to hire a defense attorney who turned around and publicly admitted their client’s guilt, regardless of circumstances. I assume he’s still employed to speak in Jeremy’s defence and interests by whomever has power of attorney for him.

Jeremy’s attorney indicated that he believed his client would be found innocent if the case had gone to trial”

I mean how do you rehabilitate a man who has dementia who is also accused of sexual assault. You sort of can’t

There’s also the argument that kind of highlights the inherent nature of our justice system. It’s not to rehabilitate or reform, but to punish. If the person being punished will never realize they’re being punished, there’s little point.

hilarious that people equate “sent home from the hospital” with “getting better”...like I am sure he is and I am rooting for him but...do you know anything about hospitals?

love this fucking show
