While I did enjoy the information, the video really did a bad job of “telling, not showing” - I would’ve loved to hear more straight in-game audio to figure out what was so great about it.

Aw yeah, look at that affine texture swim. Beautiful - and by beautiful, I mean ugly as hell. Everyone seems to forget that PS1 texture mapping did that wonky distortion. I see they even tried to do that trick with subdividing polygons to minimize the swim, but left the triangles big enough for it to still be visible.

I just finished watching that on Netflix, and I, too, found that picture odd. It isn’t the idea of somebody drawing an adult Hilda, but just that particular picture.  

Agreed. Original Hilda is drawn in a likeable style, but the Hilda above is hideous. Goes to show that different and edgy isn’t always better.
