Trump’s tax returns probably won’t show income or loans from Russia; it’s dirty money in cash or laundered through the Bank of Cyprus. This will take sophisticated forensic accounting. Meanwhile cherchez la fille: Ivanka is most likely the family bag man.

Right? Some of it is preeeeetty transparently tinfoil-hatty. But much of it sounds pretty clear-eyed. And the wackadoo stuff is really quite fun.

I love Russian Conspiracy Twitter. I’m not sure how much of it I fully believe (I hope it’s all true though!) but it is endlessly entertaining.

It was first reported from a local news station in Baltimore (the raid was in Annapolis) and appeared mid-way down The Washington Post’s site for a while yesterday, but it’s been overshadowed by a presidential Tweet storm. It is big news.

It has been mysteriously quiet about this particular story, hasn’t it? Why isn’t it louder?? The financial rot of the GOP, and the current administration in greater particular, runs verrry deep, and I’m positive that money trail leads somewhere ug-layyy. This shit is big news!

This is actually big, and woefully underreported, news. They took computer hard drives and files. There were quite a few agents involved. The raided firm’s director is a former business partner of Roger Stone and Paul Manafort. There are also ties between the firm and the head of Trump’s entertainment branch…

Omg I am so into Pod Save America right now. Another Jessie turned me onto them and it’s my second favorite show (behind Judge John Hodgeman) now.

For people who like podcasts I recommend today’s episode of Pod Save America. They do a good job of going over why the comey firing is scary, not just as an abuse of power but for our republic.

Also really worth following is John Schindler (@20committee), a former intelligence-community pro with lots of contacts still there. He’s been saying some shit for months that’s finally being vindicated.

Just realized what I’m really looking forward to. The next presidential inauguration. I wonder if Trump will even show. This shit show is beyond words.
