It can often have the opposite effect. It is not a bad sign for Clinton, but we all knew Latino voters were motivated. Minority voters also usually take advantage of new ways to vote. Old white fucks show up on the day.

But early voting is always going to skew democrat because it’s crusty old white male fuckers who show up on the day to vote. Any early voting advantage could be squashed on the day.
One can only speculate but not sure to what end. I do think Beyoncé’s approach to this sort of thing in general is something that cause a firestorm if the artist wasn’t her.
I never understand people who make posts like this. Why not just say it all in the post?
I don’t like Bay movies but I agree with you. The funny thing is those dumbass directors like Zach Snyder who try to disguise the fact their stuff is trash by making it serious. Michael Bay says he’s McDonalds. Zach Snyder says he’s an American (New) restaurant that takes itself too seriously and is basically a…
It’s only on Jezebel that high brow would be called an opposition to his movies. His movies are high brow in that they indulge low brow moves but manage to comment on them and our times fairly adeptly.
His logic is that he never wants to make a bad movie and most of the directors he admired stopped doing good work, in his mind, after a certain age.
This isn’t exactly “news”. He’s said this for about three or four years. And he’s hedged it by saying TV doesn’t count. So one way or the other we’ll still trip inside this mans wonderfully wacky mind.
I’m Beyonce-indifferent — maybe the most shocking thing of all. No opinion!
What’s my worldview?
I trend toward the academic style of writing where the fact I am an individual automatically makes what I am saying an opinion. The hedging done in modern conversation (I think, I feel, I believe), actually just insulates us from critique. If I only feel something, you can’t say I’m wrong because it’s what I “feel”.…
Yes, let’s protect the models.
Seriously though, why do we care about Gigi whatever? Honestly? Is that even an inch of what we want to fight over for feminism? Is it even a centimeter? That we must protect the wounded ego of a beautiful, skinny, tall, rich, jerset model?
The left does have to be careful about what stories it seizes about Trump. Most conservatives have already decided it doesn’t matter or it’s all lies by a liberal media. All they need is story to be false to delegitimize the whole thing. It’s not fair but that’s what is.
Hamilton, you once starred one of my comments in reaction to yours, so I’m gonna make a go at a counterpoint again.
I think the far more depressing reality is that it is not a true reflex, which is why it rings so hollow so often.
YOU, MAN. YOU!
But the response to it is better suited as the response to Master of None or Ghostbusters. All these are good products and they’re being made means we’re making some progress.
Praise for Atlanta seemed to be coming from the same as the praise for Master of None (which was essentially a less talented person’s attempt at doing Louie). The praise came because a lot of white critics were insecure about being called racist if they gave even mild critiques to the show. I mean mild, not panning.…
Bullying is bad, yes. This is tragic, yes. Like truly devastating. But what the fucking fuck are her parents doing?! They belong in jail. Secret gun hiding spot my ass.
