I think everyone is misreading this...the dad isn’t saying he wouldn’t vote for Clinton because of Weiner...

But this isn’t just his voters...

I think there are parts of the world where choosing to not have a child is actually brave. We need to, maybe, stop using words in hyperbolic ways.

If a Democrat director of the FBI had done this to a Republican nominee, that person would find themselves on trial if the Republicans ascended to the presidency. There is no doubt.

But, like, she’s spiritual, man

Do we want to use the word evil with a bit more care? When we designate something as evil we are accepting a way of understanding the world that sends us back to the dark ages.

Erm. The issue is WHO would take issue. The people Amy Schumers show has to appeal to are the people she has offended. Unfortunately the people she offends don’t have much foregiveness for moments where humor goes awry — they’re less fans of Schumer as a comedian as they are as her as a political tool for their

These rich white guys are all about handouts.

They may...for people that are like Trump.

Thing is the people who vote them in love it. They’re doing the will of their people. However small a segment of the population that is.

The prayer has to be that instead of just not voting for any presidential candidate (as many Republicans say they’ll do), that they just stay home. I’m not a religious person, but I’ll pray for that!

My last sentence was worded poorly. But I was actually speaking to the fact that Jezebel IS the far left and still find it’s very easy to engage in hypocritical behavior. It was Jezebel and it’s commentariat that are howdy doody fine with articles about boning Tim Kaine and others. It was Jezebel that was fine with

I would hope Trump sinks the Republican Party, but I don’t think it’ll happen. We’re in for more years of obstructionist bull shit where the right blocks everything, even if they’re in the minority (even if they agree!), and then people on the left snipe the Administration for not being liberal enough. It’s so fucked.

You’re making this comment on a site that regularly asks its readers if they would fuck some random dude political/public figure. Usually played for laughs.

This is frankly what’s correct. Our institutions have, in the public’s eyes, failed us. As such, we are asking other institutions to doll out punishments when our legal institutions fail. Whether that be universities or major sports bodies or what have you.

This is valid. I do think, as with almost all union/protest situations, that this one will worry a lot of higher ups about increasing wages and rights for their own workers.

I agree with you. Harvard could lead the way in reforms around the living wage in this country. Would we not expect other universities in the Ivy League to feel pressure. And then other universities that wish they were the Ivy League? And right down the line?

I agree about your “right” depiction. I just happen to disagree. I’d be shocked if, in this current feminist moment (say what you will about the world, Hollywood is indeed in one), the story was anything less than a send-up to a woman “wronged” by history and her husband.

Lol are you my personal troll? How charming.

Like many actors the issue is her range. She seems to have two speeds. One is calm (I haven’t seen Hunger Games but that and Winters Bone speak to it) and the other is like she’s a second from losing her mind. Admittedly, that’s filtered through the zanyness of David O. Russell. She lacks the ability to demonstrate
