I hate that I have to worry about my using the word “God” in popular phrases to be some tacit endorsement of religion or God. I have no problem with people who believe in God, but I hate that people who don’t think speaking like a normal person is tantamount to belief.

I did not say I expect sex for those things. You are pulling straw men right and left. Nowhere did I say “expect”. Nowhere. There are about a million and one cultural acknowledgments in the arts that men and women in relationships soft barter for sex. This bartering may be unspoken or otherwise.
