I know you shouldn’t. God, we don’t fucking disagree. This is so stupid. We do not disagree!!!

Just to be clear...I don’t think a husband has a “right” to regular sex. Give me a fucking break. You’re mistaking me for someone else. Which is unfortunate. Engage with me, not some myth you’ve created for who you’re against.

Also...you have no idea about what I’ve experienced. Perhaps, because of what I’ve experienced, I think loose definitions of something harm rather than help victims. But happy hunting!

I’m going to refer you to Nathan Heller’s recent piece in the New Yorker about the breakdown in language amongst liberals. The main point of the piece is that liberals are fighting because they can’t agree about definitions of words. This causes people to think they’re on different sides of things, when in fact they

You’re pulling a straw man. I honestly don’t understand why anyone would defend grouping pestering and rape so much so that the line blurs between the two.

That’s not pestering what you’re describing. I have had that happen. It’s called sexual assault if you have not consented.

I’m sorry that something awful happened to you, but what happened was clearly not pestering. When you expand the words used to describe a situation that included rape or sexual assault, you have to choose those words with an understanding that others could misinterpret them.

“Pestering is forcing to have sex with you”. Then you proceed to list things that go far beyond the standard definition of “pestering” in the English language.

“Do not pester for sex”.

Here’s the thing. If we’re in the world of idiot comedians (Kevin James, Sandler, etc), then your critique holds. But O’Dowd is intelligent and there are plenty of romances where intelligence plays a key role in attraction.

The reason people do that is because that’s why they’re here. They’re here to complain and argue and through that reinforce why they’re right and someone else is wrong. That is like 90% of why 90% of the discussion board population comes on.

I must have read your comment differently. Fallon is an embarrassment.

I’m late to this comment party by a lot but I just want to thank this show, via you Madeleine, for bringing this to public attention. I always wondered while showering if I was weird for not specifically washing my legs. I see soap running down and think, “That’s good enough”, unless there’s some unusual dirt

What happened last week?

I don’t even like Justin Timberlake. I’m completely indifferent. I think, more so than Rich’s clearly considered vitriol, indifference is probably the best response to a career as tepid as his has been in recent years.

Who exactly is blaming Angelina? If you read this comments section it’s up and down Brad hate and Angelina love.

And let’s all speculate about something we no unique insight into: Go!

It’s unbelievable and it shows how these problems ARE top down. You can be damn sure every cop after the NY guy was told to not shoot to kill but to capture him.

My instinct is Donald liked Christie cause Christie liked him, ala Putin, and would have had him around regardless of this because The Donald can defend anything.

Eh...I don’t agree with the fetishization of that era of music. Love many from back when but the indie scenes got loads going on in a million directions these days
