So you’re saying Weiner was involved some kind of Deepthroat activity?

THEY ARE NOT REOPENING THE INVESTIGATION! Stop with these misleading headlines and read Comey’s actual letter, a portion of which you posted here.
That Wikipedia is also an amazing thing. I had no idea who this woman was before this asshole who lies about his own military background insulted her. However, now I know SHE LOST BOTH OF HER LEGS SERVING IN IRAQ.
You know, I went and looked it up!
I would just add that I had dinner with Mark Kirk once. Before the job I have now (which I am proud of) I worked for a Republican state senator in IL from an old money family. * Kirk made some borderline racist comments about Mexican Americans (which my boss, to his credit, told him to knock off), talked a lot of shit…
The first time my cousin (who is half Thai) came to visit, someone seriously asked if he was adopted when I introduced him. He still gets shit for having a heavily German surname while obviously not being 100% white. Smh.
She is really an amazing person and deserves all the credit for her service to this country.
Amazingly, Kirk’s most consistent complaint about her is that she hasn’t accomplished anything. I get that Congress hasn’t done shit, but that’s not because Duckworth is lazy, it’s because the GOP won’t do anything other than vote to defund the ACA or investigate Benghazi.
Not to take anything at all from Tammy Duckworth (she is amazing), but I should point out that Max Cleland served in the Senate as a veteran who lost both legs and an arm in combat. He was defeated by a Republican who had never served, yet won by questioning Cleland’s patriotism.
I met Joe Walsh in a Colonial cafe outside of Elgin Community College during my lunch break some years back. I thought I recognized him and asked, “are you Joe Walsh?”
I knew she was impressive but she’s even more amazing than I thought. Thanks for listing these.
Honestly Senator, that comment didn’t get any traction in the debate. What makes you think it’ll do you any good here?
She is a frontrunner for Democratic presidential nominee in 2024 (or, heaven forbid, 2020). I don’t see many that could knock her off if she decided to run.
All the stars. All of them.
So, just so we are clear here is a quick summary of Tammy Duckworth’s life:
I’m from the West Country so I feel you - I have certainly been to my share of village fetes! I meant more that it’s a very cosy, twee baking show with no naughty language and only the most ooh matron smuttiness and it cannot go a whole series without someone making a cake with a Union Flag on it and if it didn’t keep…
being a little bit fusty and a lot middle England
I also like him with David Mitchell. They do the full-on nerd-dork schtick in different but complementary ways.
If you get a chance, Richard Ayoade (especially with Noel Fielding) is hilarious on UK quiz shows, and he’s done a few travelogues and gadgetry series. I can’t get enough of his wit and demeanor, and like me he’s half-Norwegian.
So...I don’t watch this baking show. But I do feel compelled to leave this classic Moss clip, which I feel describes the current election season and my response to it.
