What often gets overlooked is that Duran was the old man of the four. He had 70 fights before he fought Leonard! And in fight 85 he defeated Iran Barkley for the MW strap.

Leonard waited until Duran had blown up in weight until he came out of retirement. Duran was shitting his guts out on the day of the fight trying to make weight. You can't go into a fight like that.
