@UGAdawg: Or your iPhone!
Handwritten task list so I can remember it. That whole "I'm not writing it down to remember it later, I'm writing it down to remember it now" deal.
@lifebutbetter: There's that and the fact that distribution and production costs are significantly reduced so why should we pay just as much?
RPN FTW
@rhoderickj: I don't think the analogy is quite correct though. True, the iPad makes it hard to tinker, but more than that, it quite seriously limits functionality. It'd be like Ford removing the car stereo for safety reasons because they think people should focus on driving.
I really wanted this to be my single computing device for traveling. It doesn't look like it'll even replace my netbook.
@owenl1998: Right...it would suck to have Skype running the background, cause you know, VoIP and all...
I got the T115 last month with an SU2700 processor. It's not a bad machine for the money (though I did get mine free). It's small and light enough that I'm taking it along with me more than the MacBook and the power, while not 9 hours worth, is still very good at around 4-5 hours.
I sure hope there's a Zombie-smash override switch! #volvos60
No Nissan, forget all the other non-US vehicles you make and bring over the Figaro! #nissanmicra
I rented the last version in right hand drive format a few months ago. Great little car, though it did have trouble keeping up at around 100mph. Wish they'd bring it over to the US.
@Achieve: I was thinking the same thing as well but the guy was going over 2x the speed limit. So: 1) You're not going to be looking at the area where he would've been. 2) It's possible he was seen, but thought that he was still far enough to make the turn.
Wow, that sure brings back memories, the 1984 Mustang GT Turbo was my first car. By the time I got it in 1990, it was in decent shape but I also learned how to replace a tranny and a turbo on that car. Oh the memories of having 85 mph speedo up around the trip reset button.
Don't forget the take up rate will also be affected by how many clunkers were available. In areas like the northeast, I see many many more new vehicles than in CA for example because cars simply don't last as long.
What would be interesting would seeing if these have changed in the past year or two. Are people drinking more (depression, coping, etc), cutting back in travel, putting off saving for retirement just to get through the now?
@Goes Like Stink: Makes sense, that's around the last time I saw anybody rollerblading around Manhattan.
@Bitch Without A Cause: Honestly? If it can rally support or spark the revolution that's needed in Iran? Absolutely. I'd rather have images of my bloody face seen by the entire world than have died in vain.
@Jeb_Hoge: He's also supposedly a douche so I'm kind of torn.
@Webman12: Hey if the NSF gives you money to study something, you take the money!
