Wayyyy too much effort needed. I took a plastic knife to a styrofoam cup, cut out a wedge from the bottom and voila, iphone stand. Tape the edges if you want it a little cleaner.
Pin numbers are nice and easy to obfuscate: save them in your cellphone contacts hidden in phone numbers.
FYI, AT&T's historically been very picky as to tethering agreements. Check out discussions from years past on [howardforums.com] where people get surprise bills for tethering without having the proper plan. (i.e., they tried to save $30 or whatever per month but end up having to pay a few hundred.)
@huntermunkey: Right but half the reason the iMac exists is form-factor. Something I truly doubt can be replicated with newegg sourced parts. I'd like to see someone do it for less than the cost of an iMac.
This sets out to answer a question that gets a big old "duh" as an answer. Of course you can build a PC that's cheaper than a Mac and offers similar performance. You just get no support, no fancy case, not much sleep functionality, no OS etc.
@OmegaRed59: Better is somewhat subjective. Or at least you need to consider "better" in various dimensions.
