Good strategy as long as you do it before you are on the road. You don’t want a Del Griffith situation.

I agree with that part of it. I think you’re forced into an OnStar subscription which explains why it’s so much.
Maybe “damages” include the cost of shuffling passengers around to different flights?
I would agree with that. They of course bundle it with an OnStar subscription.
I generally hate the idea of subscription services in cars, but this is one situation where I understand why it’s warranted, and where I might see a value in it.
Not to be that guy, but you are responding to someone who has been an auto industry analyst for 15+ years, so I’m aware of those numbers :)
It can certainly be solved for, but it’s just another example of the tech not being ready for the masses yet. I want EVs to succeed, I work for an automaker who, like many, are going to be pushing a lot of them in the near future. It is in my best interest that they succeed. I disagree that we (we being the consumer)…
I’m by no means an anti-EV person, but there are still a lot of hiccups to be worked out as EVs become more mainstream. https://www.autonews.com/mobility-report/extreme-cold-gives-tesla-superchargers-black-eye-chicago
That could be true. I can’t say I’ve ever made a cheesecake, so I wouldn’t know for that application.
How so? I know whipped cream cheese is available in tubs, which is definitely different, but as far as I can tell there is no difference between the original cream cheese in the two different packages.
I don’t understand the cream cheese complaint. While you can still get it in those awful packages, it has been readily available in tubs for ages now.
For me with the GTA games it’s been an age thing. When I was younger I loved playing them. In my early 40s I don’t really find a lot appeal in all of the violence.
The thing is, food changes and evolves. It always has, and always will. There is definitely merit in making something the same way it’s been done for x00 years, but it’s also fun and interesting to try different takes on the traditional. We can have both!
I assume that means middling. I’m not Gen Z, but that makes enough sense. I’ve been reading this family of sites for 15+ years. I understand that readers younger than me have come along, but I guess I always assumed the older/original audience was still here as well. I also realize the audience is likely smaller than…
I get that, but my point is that large collections of physical media can take up relatively small amounts of space depending on how the collection is stored. That’s why I’ll still buy music and movies on disc, but will only buy a physical copy of a book if it’s something I really want to dedicate space to.
My parents unintentionally made me in 1982 (b. ‘83) when they were basically still kids themselves. My youngest sibling was born in 1996. Technology advanced very quickly from the 80's to the 00's, she had a very different childhood than I did, that’s for sure.
I’m 40 and have never been one to pull the “I’m so old” routine, but I’ve certainly had those moments where I realize I’m not as young as I perceive myself to be. One was at work when I was probably about your age. A relatively recent college grad asked me to set up a meeting to look at something, and it was only…
I was 13 when Daggerfall came out. I have one friend my age who has a 20 year old child, but that’s obviously uncommon in the US today. Funny enough I come from a long line of people who had children very young, and one of my siblings was a teen parent, but I broke the tradition and waited until the ripe old age of 30…
One show I don’t see mentioned or hear much about is The Dragon Prince on Netflix. It’s next season comes out this summer. If you’re a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender you might like this show. It was created by the head writer from Airbender, and carries on and expands upon some of the themes that show explored. In…
I wasn’t in the game yet, but it wasn’t for lack of trying. My interest in such things bloomed early lol.
