I think a lot of it has to do with the resurfacing of Steven Tyler’s highly inappropriate relationships with minors in his younger days. For me they also lost some of their “cool” over the years when they brought in outside writers so they could have big radio hits. Steven Tyler being a judge or host on one of the

Other than rare situations I’ve never really been a tv in the background situation type person, that makes a little more sense.

I don’t think Friends is unwatchable or anything, I just don’t understand why people who weren’t around for the original run would be drawn to friends in 2023 when there are so many better choices out.

Which is exactly why it’s good for a hotel room as I mentioned.

I’m old enough to have been a faithful viewer of this show during its original run. After that I watched it in reruns quite a bit. Now the only time I catch it is when I turn on TBS in a hotel room. I get why people around my age enjoyed it back in the day, but I can’t for the life of me understand what about it

I enjoy it even though I admittedly find it a bit cringy. I personally think their music lost a bit of its authenticity once they began bringing in outside songwriters.

It’s certainly better than Love in an Elevator or Dude Looks Like a Lady.

They could simply not play it and wait for the next 3D entry. I’m a person who plays pretty much every mainline Mario game, and except for a brief period of novelty when Mario 64 was a new release, I’ve always preferred the 2D games. This doesn’t mean I dislike the 3D entries, but I find I play them, enjoy them, and

I can second this. I don’t know if I’d say it’s the best ever, but it’s up there. I also watched the show as an adult, about a year ago. The show wasn’t on when I was a kid, and my own kid discovered it about a year and a half ago and we watched it together. I was shocked at how good it is.

There was a pretty good Curb Your Enthusiasm episode that illustrates why this is necessary.

I 100% agree with you on baseball. I used to be a big baseball fan, and could probably be again. I hated it when they added the strike zone and the spot where the ball ends up. Part of my enjoyment from watching baseball used to come from trying to judge balls and strikes myself, and they took that away. I agree with

What this article doesn’t say is whether or not it will be an option that can be turned off. If so I don’t have an issue with it. If not, fuck that.

I guess I should mention that I don’t take out my frustration on my fellow shoppers, at least not outwardly.

There is typically at least one staffed register open where I do most of my shopping, but the choice is usually waiting 10-15 minutes for that, or waiting 2 minutes or less for self-checkout. I hate using self-checkout, but usually make the choice so I can get out of the store sooner.

You must not live where I do, stores around me are doing everything they can to force people to self checkout, regardless of how many items they have.

I don’t know where you live, but all of the major retailers in my area seem to actively discourage customers from finding a staffed checkout lane regardless of the number of items. I loathe self-checkout, but I’m increasingly forced to use it.

If you’re going to use a self-checkout, calm the f down about other people not being fast and efficient. Go to manned register.”

Hard disagree on the booze. I am someone who strongly prefers using register staffed by a person, but it seems that most stores now only have one or two of those open, and the lines are almost always long. If I only have a handful of items that includes beer I’m not going to wait in line for longer than I need to.

I did not. The headline read “

I think I understand your point, although it’s kind of hard to parse it out. I agree with you for the most part. I would say an EV without a massive battery or fast charging would suit my needs for 47 weeks out of the year. While those other 5 weeks are nowhere near the majority of the year, they are important and
