I agree. I also enjoy Claire’s work and I’m shocked she’s still here.

Does someone salt your walkways for you before you clear your snow? Is it the old man from Home Alone?

Don’t leave snow sitting there

I’d add that if you’re using a Dutch oven you should preheat that along with the oven itself. I’ve been obsessed with making no-knead bread in my Dutch oven, and preheating it leads to better results.

I’ve always been curious about those various handheld Zelda games but have never played them. I’ve never owned a handheld system until Switch, and even then I do about 95% of my Switch playing docked. I enjoy 2D Zelda games, so it would be nice to give some of those a try. I didn’t actually enjoy anything 3D Zelda

I don’t sweat much and my skin isn’t very oily. I could probably skip showering daily and not offend people around me, especially during the winter months. That said, I wouldn’t want to. I just feel grody when I don’t bathe.

I’m still eagerly awaiting Earthbound 64. I read about it all the time in Nintendo Power back in the day. It’s still coming isn’t it?

I have admittedly only played through the Switch remake of LA. I’m 40, so I was of age to play it when it was new, but I never had a Game Boy, so at that time I only read about it in Nintendo Power. I loved the Switch version and recently replayed it after going through it one other time when it came out a few years

I have a slight bone to pick with this list. Link’s Awakening should be replaced with A Link to the Past. Both are fantastic games, but LTTP on SNES is superior to LA in its original form. You mention one of the biggest reasons why right in this writeup, that having to constantly reassign buttons in LA is a royal

*Correcting myself because it occurred to me that other than coming in for the finale, Larry wasn’t officially involved in the show after season 7.

Seinfeld. Season 7 is easily in its top 2-3 seasons. Seasons 8 and 9 are very good as well. I’m glad Jerry and Larry decided to end the show before it overstayed its welcome.

Seinfeld was really just hitting its stride after 4 seasons. 8 and 9 were very enjoyable, but 4-7 probably represent the peak.

I don’t know that it was influential, but I’m wondering if anyone else remembers the PC game Street Rod. It had features like being able to swap out engines, transmissions and tires, change carbs, chop roofs, remove bumpers, etc. Those things were fairly unique for the time the game came out. I had a lot of fun with

Like a smartwatch, but for your pocket!”

I learned of rabid Hot Wheels collectors when I started working at Target as a teenagers in the late 90's. I was working in the toy section when a middle aged gentleman asked me if we had any more Hot Wheels in back. I thought it was an odd question since the shelves were fully stocked, but I brought out a fresh box

So does The Takeout.

I do recall a tidbit in a recent Lifehacker article that mentioned something about “western perceptions of sanitation” or something like that. I don’t even remember the main topic of the article so it would be hard to find, but I think the suggestion was that we shouldn’t expect everyone to bathe daily or use deodorant

I definitely burned out on them for a while. I still can’t listen to Blood Sugar Sex Magic much anymore. I have enjoyed their new work quite a bit too. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it satisfies old fans like me.

I’m still pretty fond of RHCP :)

Oh it definitely wasn’t dinner, it was usually more like late night snacks/dessert.
