Experts now agree we need to banish the car-centric culture from the U.S. if we have any hope of staving off the worst affects of climate change and improving Americans’ mental and physical health. But there was a time, long ago, when that car payment really did mean freedom for so many.”

I don’t know what from my comment led you to believe I think self-driving cars will ever be a reality. I work for a major OEM as an analyst, I’m fairly close to these things. You said in your last paragraph, they aren’t ready for prime time. The fact is that right now human drivers are safer. Will that change in the

I agree that there are a ton of incidents like this that are never reported, they for the most part have nothing to do with safety. I’d much rather deal with humans denting my bumper in a parking lot than a self-driving car striking my child or t-boning me at an intersection.

I want to be clear that I didn’t meant to be snarky to you. You’re my favorite LH writer!

That’s one way to read that comment. I’d personally read it as “at least we aren’t losing our jobs to low-wage workers”.

Home Depot is owned by stockholders. If you’re referring to the CEO, you’d have a hard time getting by if you avoided giving money to corporations headed by Trump supporters. I dislike Trump as much as anyone, but this is just reality.

Do you really think men (or anyone) needs this article to try and meet people in person? The vast majority of people in human history met this way, the last ~20 years is the exception.

Better yet get in the habit of not saving personal stuff on your work computer. This is a good idea whether or not you think you’re at risk of being laid off. I get that most of us do this sometimes, but I’ve gotten in the habit of only ever allowing it to be a temporary storage place. Remember, your company owns

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone whose first guitar was a 12 string. I’m a big fan of a lot of musicians who use(d) 12 strings a lot, so I don’t know what took me so long. My first guitar was cheap Epiphone Strat copy that was bundled with a cheap Epiphone-branded amp.

To me it seems like the best sub-$1k option out there for a 12 string. The one I picked up used was only $650, and I think at most it was a floor model. It still had the protective plastic on the pick guard, and not a mark on it I could find. The serial number indicates it was built in Sept ‘22. There are definitely

It seems to me like this would result in a wire rack that would be a PITA to clean up. The best thing about my potato masher is that it goes right into the dishwasher when I’m done.

I’ve owned my current car for 4 years and have never used either the FM or AM radio, in fact I never even changed the presets.

A baseball broadcast on AM radio is timeless, otherworldly, reliable, and blissful.”

That’s actually the hobby I had in mind. I’ve also played for decades, and also wouldn’t call myself a shredder, but I’m certainly proficient. One thing I will say is true, is that the quality of cheap guitars is generally better today than when I started, largely due to the expansion of manufacturing into China. We

Time isn’t everything. Family Guy averaged around 8 million viewers in its prime. That is minuscule compared to Seinfeld which averaged over 30 million viewers after it caught on. I’m not saying this means Seinfeld is a better show, but it’s hard to dispute that more people saw him portray David Puddy.

Actually a 30 year old show, but it remains very popular.

Spending too much on equipment

The best, most obvious, and most unlikely idea is not on this list.

High five!
