I doubt he was able to fake it well enough for the prosecution’s medical expert to determine he isn’t competent.

I don’t know that it says much beyond who the majority of it is targeted to. When I watch I don’t even really notice the male performers, to me they are purely functional. I’m not sure why exactly he became famous, I don’t think it indicates that people have a fondness for his work.

That is super interesting, and I’m glad you posted it. I’d like to switch from gas to induction, but it would require an expensive electrical process to do so. This would eliminate that hurdle.

I agree with you. There actually isn’t enough of a discount to get me to take a smoker’s car. This actually saved me from wasting money a few years ago. In February of ‘20 I was considering replacing my functional, but old commuter car. I test drove a used car and liked everything about it except for the fact that it

That’s awesome to hear. He’s pretty high on my list of people I would like to enjoy dinner and a glass of wine with.

I don’t see why something like that would give me issues. Fuses still work and are perfectly safe if used properly. The issue has more to do with capacity than safety. My outlets are grounded. I don’t see what kind of error might arise. If I drew more amps on a circuit than was safe a fuse would blow.

Are you referring to a battery system that kicks in during a blackout instead of a generator? I’d imagine that would not work. Luckily blackouts are not frequent in my location.

Have you never seen a flat-bottom wok?

This definitely sounds like a false conspiracy, because most major appliance manufacturers make both gas and electric.

I still have a 1950s fuse box in my house, so I’m not kidding when I say my system needs an upgrade.

I read an NYT review of them and they basically said the didn’t work well with a 12 inch skillet like I mentioned that I use almost every day. My electrical system also really needs an upgrade, and I don’t know that my panel could handle one of those and the microwave running at the same time, which I could see coming

That makes sense. The pans up at that house are pretty shitty, but since I spend maybe 20 days there every year I’m not inclined to invest in anything better. The stove is from the 70's, as was actually a pretty nifty model back in its day. It’s similar to the one pictured below. The spot with the grill in the picture

I received Jacques’ latest book “The Art of The Chicken” for Christmas. It isn’t a cookbook, it’s more a collection of his paintings of chickens as well as a lot of stories centered around cooking chicken. I’d recommend it to anyone who is a fan of his. He is a wonderful storyteller, and it’s a comforting read. On TV

I will say that in my experience coil electric stoves do seem to boil water faster than gas. I have gas at home, and we have a coil electric range at my family’s place out in the country. Boiling water seems to be where it stops for some reason though. When I do something like make my kids grilled cheese sandwiches on

I did a light renovation (painted the cabinets, new countertops, etc) a few years back, so that’s not happening anytime soon. What I describe is far more than a kitchen reno. I would need to upgrade my whole electrical system, starting with the panel and the service to the house. I also don’t have a basement, so walls

I must admit that it’s a quiet Friday afternoon for me, so I did a little searching on this site to see what’s been written about stoves in the past. I do want to switch from gas to induction when it becomes possible for me, so I’m not anti-electric. What I don’t want is a traditional electric stove. This article

I have a gas stove and use my crappy microwave vent (that does go to the outside) and realize this likely does not get rid of all of the nasty things being put into the air. Most people don’t even do that in practice.  As far as other gas appliances, your point fails there. Unless someone does something incredibly

I have a gas stove at home, so that is what I’m most used to cooking on. My family also has a place out in the country I spend a lot of time at in the summer. That house has an ancient coil electric stove from the 70's. That electric stove boils water significantly faster than my gas stove at home. To be honest I hate

I don’t doubt that, and I’d like to switch to induction (I know not one in the same with flattop) once it becomes feasible for me. In my current situation I’d have to do a major electrical project in my house, the cost of which would far exceed any tax credits that are available.

I don’t deny the health and environmental advantages of an electric stove, but I disagree on the cleaning. When I lived in an apartment with a coil electric stove I felt like cleaning it was a nightmare. I let my gas range get pretty bad, and it never takes me 45 minutes to clean it. What are you using?
