First let me say that I believe all students in public schools should be provided with lunch. That said, the free lunches offered in my children’s school were usually complete garbage, and significantly worse than the lunches offered when we still had to pay. Typical examples were something like mini pancakes,

How would it save me money to keep my house at the regular temp while I’m away? As I said I generally set the AC to 80 when we travel. How would leaving it lower save money?

I’ve never understood what great advantage there is to a smart thermostat vs an old school programmable one. I set my schedule in it and go on with my life. If I need to manually tweak it for whatever reason once in a while, NBD. The only time I wish I had a smart thermostat is when I go on vacation. I’ll generally

It’s been so long since I’ve had a Coke I wonder how it would taste to me. I’m guessing it would either taste amazing or sickeningly sweet.

I gave up all pop right before the pandemic started, but I used to really enjoy Coke Zero. I thought it tasted pretty damn close to the original, and that Diet Coke tasted absolutely nasty by comparison. I don’t understand the people who prefer Diet Coke to Coke Zero, but to each their own.

Huh?

I must be extra out of touch, because I didn’t even know who Ezra Miller was before reading this.

I always charge overnight, so I’m rarely low on battery during my waking hours. Maybe I need to change that habit. I delayed getting a smartphone longer than most people because I knew I would be hooked by it. I’d give it up if it weren’t for the convenience of walking around with my music library, a great camera, and

Just leave social media. You really won’t miss out on much. Breaking the addiction was hard at first, but once I did life was honestly better without all of the mindless scrolling. Lately I’ve been trying to wean myself from my phone, for example I leave it upstairs when my wife hang out at night. Even things like TV

Why do you only mention rainwater? While it’s probably illegal in most suburbs, and whether or not it’s safe depends on where you are, groundwater would be a viable option for many.

Is there a possibility you had an undiagnosed stroke?

Nope, zero known allergies. I also don’t buy the exercise your immune system bullshit people say about kids getting sick. I was sick all the time as a kid, and I pick up most of what mine bring home from school.

Parental relief? You clearly haven’t talked to all parents. My wife and I have always been very “germ aware”, covid did nothing to change that. I even felt this way in the latter years of my childhood. Our two kids who are 9 and 6 have never been in a McDonald’s play place, Chuck E Cheese, etc. We took them to Great

My guess would be in the freezer bags she pounded them in.

I think chicken breasts in general have minimal shrinkage compared to other meats due to their low fat content. If you’ve cooked burgers of the same size made from chuck and from sirloin you can really see how that plays out.

Don’t all non-dried foods shrink during cooking due to being made mostly of water and losing moisture?

Same. I’ve had or have Hulu, Netflix, Prime, and Peacock. I find Hulu’s user interface to be easiest to navigate. I find Peacock to be the least intuitive.

My 2019 Equinox has this feature, but I find that it doesn’t stay on quite long enough to be useful, so I never use it. I’ve personally always kept a couple of fingers on the turn signal stack when changing lanes so that I shut it off immediately afterwards. With most of them from cars of any era you don’t need to

Isn’t that what this whole family of websites does, especially in the last few years?

I believe gyros are generally underutilized. A local diner makes a gyro omelet and I’m a huge fan!
