Gotcha, I thought you were referring to Tesla buyers going to legacy automakers.

I must be behind on internet lingo, because I don’t understand what this means.

I am an analyst for a legacy automaker. While we like to pretend we will with every new launch, we don’t conquest. EV’s are an immature market, so it might be a different story, but I just don’t see Tesla buyers going to Ford or GM in large numbers. I of course hope I’m wrong.

Sold? Maybe. Dead? I highly doubt it. I’ve been an auto industry analyst for 15 years. Brand loyalty is hugely important in the industry, and Tesla has a head start over pretty much all other automakers.

Non-existent seatbelts from cars built from the 70s-90s?

I’m surprised there is no mention of c-sections here. My wife and I knew we wanted to stop after two children. Due to the birth of our first child, my wife knew our second would be a c-section. My wife made the decision to have her tubes tied during her c-section since they were already in there, and it wasn’t likely

I don’t get that one at all. It’s annoying if someone blocks traffic to back in, but if there are no cars behind me I much prefer it. Also, if you own a modern car with a backup camera backing in is incredibly easy.

Oh gosh, I missed this question. I have a couple that were sort of negative experiences at the time, but make for great memories. Both involve the same old beat up motorhome that my great grandma passed down to my dad. On one trip when I was about 9 several of us took it to Pennsylvania from Michigan for Thanksgiving.

Based on your comment I assume we work for the same company. I have to say that I’m surprised to see someone praise the XT6. I’ve always thought that vehicle was garbage compared to most other offerings in its segment.

Lol, came here to say the same. Such a great tune.

Funny story about that; Several years ago our double towel rack gave way. At the time I simply moved it up a few inches. The towels covered the holes, so I was lazy and waited a few years before repairing the drywall because I hate drywall work. A few years ago I finally repaired those holes. Within a week my son who

Should is the key word. When we bought our 1950s era house it did not have a bathroom fan. We renovated the bathroom before we moved in and I added a fan. Adding a fan to a bathroom that didn’t have one required running ducting through the attic, and most importantly, cutting a hole in the roof. Opening a hole in your

This was not in an urban area, it was in what I would call an exurban area.

I understand a lot of people have well water, in fact I’m currently staying at my family’s country place that is on a well. That’s not what the author wrote though, she wrote that by the 1970s most Americans had access to free tap water, which to me implies a public utility.

By the 1970s most American homes had access to free tap water”

I came close to hitting someone on the highway about 20 years ago and it really freaked me out. I was driving 75-80 on an interstate during a time of very low traffic, crested a hill, and saw two dudes walking towards traffic in the lane I was driving in. I saw them soon enough to slow down and change lanes, but it

Absolutely agree with you there. My 401k is in a target fund, I don’t mess with that. I also have a personal investment account that I manage myself. Even with that one I keep an eye on it, but I have confidence in the long-term outlook of my investments, so I won’t sell out of panic. It’s easy to forget that you

My advice would be to not look at your 401k if you aren’t near retirement. Those of us who aren’t close should look at this as an opportunity to pad our 401ks at a discount.

I bet geography is also at play as well.

I think this is a family/culturally dependent thing. I’m 39 and grew up with pretty chill parents, who in turn hung around with mostly laid-back people. I always referred to my parents’ friends by first name because I was never told to do anything else. I don’t even think I knew their last names when I was a kid becaus
