Don’t: Smoke out your neighbors
Don’t: Smoke out your neighbors
What’s that? I can’t hear you over the sound of my garbage disposal.
Hell, it’s depressing enough sending my elementary age kids to school knowing that there is miniscule, but greater than 0% chance that they could murdered there on any given day. I realize the chances of any number of other bad things happening to them is much higher, but the fact that something so awful is even a…

It’s easy to say “make a career change”, which is something I sometimes think about, but in reality this isn’t plausible for most of us. I’m very fortunate, I’ve advanced in my industry to a point where I earn what most would consider a very good living. If I were to try and start a new career in an area I have more…
My wife has other issues beyond ADHD, she’s struggled with anxiety and depression for the entire 16 years we’ve been together. She’s been medicated for a long time, and has also done talk therapy on and off as well.
I’ve been a Bank of America customer for my entire adult life. It was only recently that I learned that they waive a number of ATM fees per month if you keep your account above a certain threshold. I learned this because my account had dropped below this threshold and they warned me I had a certain amount of time to…
I always buy frozen fish for the reasons listed here. I live in Michigan, there is no way anything at the counter that came from the ocean is “fresh off the boat”. Costco is my favorite place to buy frozen salmon. They have large bags of wild-caught sockeye for around $35. We always have it in the freezer and try to…
I appreciate your response, but for now will only leave a short reply because I’m tired. As far as study skills, he seems to have those already. The things I mentioned that he’s learned on his own, he studies them relentlessly. He’ll write them out constantly, fill in blank maps, etc, etc. He was also an early reader,…
He may or may not have it, of course the impetus to pursue it further isn’t super strong when he does well academically and socially.
Oh my gosh to we need help with this. We have a 9 year old who is all over the place in different ways. I’m not trying to brag, but when he’s interested in something he goes all in and can focus intently. For example, he memorized the US and world maps, as well as the periodic table of elements when he was in first…
My wife and I just started watching this show this week and are enjoying it. I would personally hope not to see an episode of this show dealing with this issue. It does a good job of showing how underfunded our schools are, especially in inner-cities. Taking it to the level of elementary school shootings is just…
I’ll just tell my kids that our government is set up in a way that gives disproportionate power to rural states, and that voters in those states long ago decided that the right of fragile men to own assault rifles outweighs the right of the innocent to not be shot when one of the fragile men snaps.
This sounds like a great way to use up the half eaten jar of recalled peanut butter in my pantry. If cooking kills salmonella that might be in chicken it would do the same for peanut butter.
Have you been looking at my house?
According to USA Today “The active ingredients used to achieve the higher viscosity in Clorox’s splashless solution reduce the percentage of sodium hypochlorite present to a level that is unable to actively disinfect surfaces.”
Don’t ask me, I’m not a chemist, microbiologist, or any sort of scientist who understands such things. When Clorox makes it clear on the label that splash less bleach shouldn’t be used to disinfect I tend to take their word for it. USA Today said “The active ingredients used to achieve the higher viscosity in Clorox’s…
We have two jars of the recalled product, one smooth, and one crunchy. We’ve also eaten about half of both jars. We have not gotten sick, and I have to wonder, is there any point in tossing them now? I don’t know how salmonella spreads within something like peanut butter, but if our jars are tainted is it possible…
White Castle only exists in a fairly limited market, that didn’t stop Harold and Kumar from being a success.
