I also don’t care for that term either, but I don’t see what’s all that odd about buying a house now with intention of moving into something bigger later. There are obviously exceptions, but we know that houses usually appreciate in value, so buying what you can afford now with the intention of using your equity to

Bob’s injury and subsequent death seem like a tragic freak thing. If I recall correctly from other stories, he checked into his hotel room late at night. Whatever happened to him clearly must not have seemed that severe at the time. If I put myself in his shoes, I probably wouldn’t consider staying up for hours past

I don’t drink Budweiser, but I still think these iconic animals are super cool, and would love to see them in person.

I think it’s the rich and complex umami flavors.

I’m curious to see how much of Harley’s success stems from the economic stimulus package. Their financial results next year should tell us if that’s the case.

I disagree. Like a lot of people, I store my grocery shopping list in my phone. Constantly having to unlock my phone with a pin while grocery shopping gets annoying really quickly.

Buying a house is usually a long term commitment. While I’m sure there are edge cases, I can’t imagine this working out well the majority of the time. Most of the time one or both people will end up partnering off, or having a kid, etc, and will likely want their own space sans friend. In some of these cases still

I agree, and that doesn’t even address the thousand other questions that could arise from this situation. What if one person wants to renovate the kitchen and the other doesn’t? What if they both do, but can’t agree on the size and scope of the project? Renovation and maintenance issues could present huge problems.

I have things that are systematic issues, and it’s hard to know if altering them would be wroth it in terms of sales price. One example is that we still have a fuse box. It was code when the house was built, so it’s still legal, but it certainly might scare some people off. Still, don’t know if we’d get back the cost

That’s exactly what we need to do. My question is whether a real estate agent is cool coming in and doing an assessment like that now if we aren’t planning on listing until the summer.

I’m not trying to brag, I swear, but my bonus was 2x what it was last year, and was 26% of my base salary. My jaw just about hit the floor after what I came into the year expecting it to be.

We’ve also thought about that, just selling it as is. We bought it at bargain basement prices in 2009, so we’d probably come up quite favorable. For reference, we paid $95k. A house next door (same house) in excellent and recently renovated condition sold for $290k in December.

You’re right, that realization is what made my wife and I decide to start trying for our first child about a decade ago.

We are ready to buy a house, the problem is we aren’t ready to sell our current house. After I started working from home fulltime it became clear that we outgrew our house. The problem is every time I look at the things that need to be done to prepare the house for the market I get overwhelmed and end up doing

I started here as a contract employee, and seeing others get excited at bonus time always stung.

Geeze, that stinks, are you a white collar employee, and do you not have a bonus spelled out in your job description? For us we all have a base bonus attached to our job level, for example, one level it’s 10% of base salary, the next is 13%, next job level is 18%, etc. The bonus pays out at a % of the full “base

I do think most people can manage through significant periods of time with sleep deprivation, but it isn’t pleasant. When I wrote my comment I somehow forgot that I have two kids, and they were both newborns at one point in their lives. I don’t know if you have kids, but the sleep deprivation was very real,

Does Chrono Trigger count as a time loop? It’s one of the best games ever made, but not sure if it counts.

Maybe, but lease penetration amongst lux is much higher than mainstream models, even higher priced mainstream models.
