I pretty much let the dog guide me on how much he wants to be outside. He’s an English Springer Spaniel, so he was bred to handle rugged conditions. We live in Michigan which obviously has very different weather throughout the year; it’s currently 11 degrees outside of my house. When he was young he loved being

It means that while I love my dog, I don’t consider him to be a family member on the same level as humans. For example, he doesn’t get to go on the furniture, and certain areas of the house such as bedrooms are off limits to him.

Back in high school a friend’s dad was a police officer, and was the department’s home security expert. He used to give talks at neighborhood meetings about preventing burglaries. One day he left his patio door unlocked when he went for a walk and was robbed. He didn’t live in the same city he worked in, so I’m not

Nah, in my house I treat the dog like a dog.

I think we’ve gone too far with our pets when we start considered their comfort over our own when setting the thermostat...

I also use my phone for navigation via Apple carplay. There is really nothing to learn, and having a nice big map display and controlling it via the car is preferable to trying to do it through the phone. I realize that’s not an option if you have an older car.

Why? I find never having the need to remove the key from my pocket to be very convenient.

How about both? No matter how hard you try, no human is perfect. This is good tech IMO.

Disagree here. Look at the vehicle in the photo, and draw a straight line from where you think the headrests on the back seat are to the window. You are never going to get use out of the full window, you absolutely use valuable cargo space with this setup.

I feel the same way. For good or bad, I have yet to find the limit on the amount of beer I can drink and still feel relatively okay the next morning. I’ve also learned that throwing just one shot into the mix, even if my beer intake is very moderate, leads to feeling quite crappy the next morning. This problem has

I’ve grown to like touchscreens in cars when they are used for the right applications. I feel like my current vehicle gets it right for the most part. The touchscreen works well for browsing my music library and navigation. A big screen is great for maps. My car’s system also doesn’t allow me to browse the music

I don’t know if there is a universal standard for all of them, but I know for the ones I’ve been to it’s people who own a newer (generally 2 years or newer) that competes in the same segment as our future product. I don’t know exactly how we find these people. I’m also sure we probably further narrow it down to get a

You’re so metal.

I work as a sales analyst for a major automaker. As part of my job I’ve observed focus groups for future vehicles. The way it works is we have an unbranded mockup of our future vehicle, and 4-5 competitors with all branding removed. Screen size always comes up among the participants, and participants almost

I’m not personally spent on precautions, I still don’t even go to the grocery store in person. I have learned that in person education is absolutely critical for my children, and it is one place where risk is necessary. My kids are vaccinated and have KN95s. That’s about all we can do.

Not to defend Paris Hilton, but I usually wear disposable gloves when doing things like cutting raw chicken, or prepping whole raw poultry.

Do you have children? Last year we were incredibly cautious and opted for virtual school. We made the decision to return them to in person school this fall. While I’m nervous about them going to school with omicron spreading like wildfire, it’s abundantly clear in our household how important it is for them to be in

I’m confused as to why the test is moot at this point. If my kids have the sniffles I’d like to know if it’s just a cold so that I can send them back to school when they feel okay or if I need to keep them home until they test negative.

This is interesting as last week I ordered child sized KN95 masks that prominently advertise being “FDA Listed”, which might mean pretty much nothing.

I understood what you meant, and I stand by my statement.
