Why focus on things like rape prevention when we can have a hypothetical conversation about whether or not these sentient robots are being sexually assaulted? Like don’t you know that robots need consent too?

There’s never been a case of a cisman pretending to be a transwoman for the purposes of infiltrating women’s bathrooms and assaulting women. There are however many transpeople who’ve been assaulted or humiliated while using the bathroom. This is a completely bullshit argument.

When I was in grad school at UC Santa Cruz, our had and has unisex restrooms (big central area with sinks, stalls with doors, shower area with area to enter, stalls with curtains). It wasn’t a problem though I must confess we don’t have separate men’s and women’s bathrooms in my house either.

I think this is what they call projection. Recognizing you are actually the entitled asshole has really been the foundation for many allies joining various social rights movements, so its not too late to catch up!
