If you’ve been excluded from social events numerous times because of the things you say, to the point you’re “pretty much a shut-in” then you are absolutely the problem.

Can’t someone be offended by a joke and just tell the joke teller it was a shitty joke, instead of trying to get the joke teller fired?
I’m going to assume somebody told him to cut it out before making a whole thing with HR.
Yeah, I was initially very sympathetic to this couple, but after learning just how severe the jaundice was and how hard their pediatrician worked to try to get them to get the child proper care, I’m not as sympathetic. The child was not taken away from them because they chose a homebirth without a qualified attendant.…
Jezebel? Bury the lede or obfuscate facts so they can push a political position and get outraged clicks? Never!
Thank you. Midwives are not paediatricians. And this baby had levels that required more intensive care. I get that they distrust the medical system but if that mistrust was going to lead to their child having brain damage, then intervention is absolutely justified.
He had tried to get them to take the baby to a hospital and they refused and for the rest of that afternoon and late in the evening, he made repeated attempts to reach them and they refused to pick up. Their so called midwife then contacted the doctor and repeated the family’s initial message about treating the baby…
Burying the lede a little. The kid had very high bilirubin [21] and the doctor could not get the family to assure him that the device being used at home was hospital grade. Also- the doctor isn’t white either. He also tried to talk to the family many, many times and was repeatedly ignored before involving CPS.
The Jacksons said they would be doing the phototherapy treatment at home under the guidance of their midwife, Cheryl Edinbyrd.
“We need people to understand reproductive justice and freedom also means families have a right to choose when and how they want to parent. This includes informed decision making, culturally sensitive care and choosing birth and postpartum support plans that meet their specific needs.”
I’m not sure fake tans and bronzer qualify as blackface…
Those text messages were dark as hell. Hard to believe his lawyers thought they would make him look good.
Time will tell which is more accurate. But 25 years working in offices has taught me that “not named” is not synonymous with “not credible.”
Desperate people say stupid things, news at 8.
With the caveat that I have no opinion on this one way or the other, and have no plans to watch this show, that line of thinking cuts both ways. Who’s more likely to call attention to a toxic working environment? An actor who likely signed an anti-disparagement clause, and who is contractually obligated to promote…
Nancy Pelosi is defending a dear friend and long-time colleague. She’s wrong, but it’s pretty understandable and not that big a deal.
She seems like the type who regularly touches grass, which, good for her.
She’s 85, she isn’t online like the rest of us. Honest mistake.
I’m def not a GOOP-aholic (or whatever they call themselves), but from the stuff available in the press I’d venture to guess he DID run into her, and is now trying to cash in.
Right?! I’m as ready as the next person to be annoyed at Paltrow for selling “wellness” crap, but everything just looks like a weirdo who ran into her on the slopes trying to get a pound of flesh. She was skiing with her children who were beginners on a run that is not at all aggressive (although it gets narrow). She…
