I think I've lost all my "emotional" investment in that show. I can't let it go. But it's pretty much already dead in my heart.

Yeah, that's pretty much a reiterated crime. Which doesn't deserve pardon.

6 episodes and they've pictured Cary and Diane as ageist, racist, clueless and not enough smart to face Howard Lyman. And conveniently those things came to light just now that Alicia is not part of that firm anymore. They're trashing that firm and Diane and Cary on purpose.

I suppose the show doesn't ask you to buy it since they're clearly not writing plots which suit the characters but just writing the characters in a way which suits the plots. Something I loathe but that's it.

It meant something. Those associates are so unaccustomed to "supportive" patners that when Cary tried to help one of them he was completely misunderstood. It was another way to show there's no real communication between the name partners and young associates.

That's because they can't make up for the lack of 6 years old relationships with 4 eps old ones.

There are plenty of storylines to explore for both of them. Right now, considering the mediocre material writres gave them It would be also enough to show them in court to improve their storylines. They're not even trying, imo. It's leazy writing and I'm not sure it's not done on purpose. Why do we keep seeying Eli

If seasons 6 proved something is that when given material Matt Czuchry kills it. And the character has still potential but obviously that can make up for the lack of scripts and "bond".

I prefer the ensamble show over the Alicia Florrick one. Shoot me.

Yeah. It's like all the issues I had with season 6 part B became major plots in season 7. I don't think I can endure the atrocious sidelining of Cary and Diane, the new random flood of new recurring/guest stars, the political campaign v4, the love triangle v2, the new firm v3….all in the same season.

That doesn't mean the show will last other 2 years for sure but that they want to be sure to have him in case they'll get renewed for a 8th season. But I cross my fingers that season 7 will be the last.

Yeah, six years as Alicia's valet were enough. Even if in the first half of the season he had a strong story arc, I think he went pretty wasted again in the 2nd half. And if that show won't change direction next year I'm not more confident that things will improve for him.

Exactly.

I completely agree. Whatever it was shown or told in that (likely) fake scene was completely unearned on Alicia's part. Cary deserved a final talk with her more than anyone else.

I suppose Matt Czuchry signed a new contract before writers decided to turn his character into a plot device again. Ugh.

I think it was "resolved" in Kings' way. Nothing substantial in terms of writing will come ouf of it.
The show should have spent more time with Cary because all the crap which happened to him. Every good writer would have used that trial storyline to show also how that affected him. They didn't need hours to do it. But

Whatever scene they've planned for Alicia and Kalinda IMO it'is unearned. I didn't pretend perfect closure for Cary and Kalinda but he deserved to be part of her last moments more than Alicia. But as you said those writers fucked up Kalinda's character long time ago and have always managed to wrong Cary's character in

They're creating a new show where other characters are just random satellites which just appear when they suit Alicia's storyline. Look at the first 9 minutes of this last episode. It was just Alicia. However Cary's trauma for Kalinda's departure was resolved in two 3 secs long scenes. Besides those two brief scenes

They've stolen even this from him. What a waste. What he went through the last year should have made him hungry for justice. Instead he's just there palely accepting whatever is happening to him or around him. There was a time when Cary was the one always ready to fight back. But those writers basically don't give a
