I get that this is an unpopular position, but the improvements in gameplay that ds2 introduced makes it my favorite of the three.

I’m close to done with DS3; my ranking is:
I think I’ll go with:
1. Dark Souls
2. Bloodborne / Dark Souls 3 (definitely a tie)
3. Demon’s Souls
4. Dark Souls 2
Refer to this as the Blood-Souls series.
I’d put Bloodborne above Demon Souls but your list looks about right where its at. Dark Souls was a work of art. The you CAN go down BUT YOU’LL DIE introduction was one of the best I’ve ever played. It’s like you have freedom... but you don’t.
I never played the original Dark Souls. I loved demon souls, but my personal favorite of the series is Bloodborne. I enjoy the more agressive combat, fluid dodging, and regain system. It’s just a personal opinion, obviously, but the combat system is better than in any of the other games, to me.
For me It’s Demons Souls (there’s just something special about being there at the begining of something great)
For me it is:
Dark Souls
Dark Souls 3
Bloodborne
Demons Souls
Dark Souls 2
I like all of them, but Dark Souls 2 is the obvious weak point in the series. It is the only time playing this series that I felt like it embraced cheap deaths and gimmick stages. Once you play through the game once. Scholar does greatly improve the…
Still the best Dark Souls.
I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone, but I grew to love Dark Souls, I detested it at first, but in fact, there’s nothing else like it.
It’s been almost five years since the release of Dark Souls, and most people have moved onto other games. But a…
This would make a better gift for a graduate... most dads are already going to have at least half of the tools in here.

Best part of that video is the hick who felt the need to protect his chilluns from Sean. He even flexes his bicep as a show of dominance!
LOL that was an instant classic.
You beat me to it xD
I find it very interesting. All the processes feel a little more organic, with not so much “you crossed the invisible line, now its fight mode.” For example, I got caught trespessing somewhere i wasnt supposed to be, and instead of just triggering a combat alert, because i wasnt really doing anything, the guard was…
Yeah, I love the Asterisk War ones. Although I *really* loved the Season 1 OP and ED (especially the ED, just a beautiful song).
Stay in touch.
Screenshots look nothing like the actual game. I haven’t played this level yet but I’ve played the last two on PC and it looks stunning. Definitely one of the better looking games of this generation so far considering how incredibly dense the levels are.
Running it on a PC with an i5-3570k, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 980Ti.
I can’t run it passably in 4k, but I can max it out at 1080p, and it looks fantastic. I wonder if the videos or screenshots you’re referencing were running on lower-end hardware?
Graphics aside, the game is actually a ton of fun, and an excellent return to…
