Really the best version of all possible versions is to play an emulated GBA version of FF6 Advanced, with the music/sound patch that patches in the music and sound from the SNES version. (GBA version had downgraded sound because of the GBA’s hardware limitations).

I’d play this version over the PS1 version. The lag/load times are absolutely horrendous on the PS1/PS3

Don’t need to go to Japan. You can’t throw a rock without hitting a good ramen spot in NYC. Ivan Ramen, for example, is from a guy who ran successful restaurants in Tokyo before coming back home to do the same here.

The ramen situation in the US has actually gotten a lot better. It’s still nowhere near Japan of course, but if you live in any significant metro area you should be able to get at least a decent bowl so that you at least can get to try done real ramen if you haven’t never had it.

I picked one of these up on preorder when it came out, it’s not bad for $50. Because nobody believes that it will be the complete game. It will be the complete game until they add more characters and stages and outfits and charge you again. They’re already charging an extra 20 on release day for extra skins and marketing it as the Deluxe Edition

I used to work in a video game shop. When someone needed a guide that we didn’t have in stock, I’d suggest they go to GameFaqs, and write the url down on a business card. I can’t count the number of time people read it outloud as GameFags.

The port of original XIII was horrendous, the updated port is still awful, and the FFXIII-2 port is crap and this will be the same.

No no no no no. This is NOT the solution. This is taking something AWAY from the experience to appease corporate overlords. The solution is to fix the broken copyright system so that fair use is actually fair. Period.

Actually played this with my sons last month. The 6 year old said about half way through, “I don’t get why your killing these things. It seems like they just want to be left alone.” I was not prepared for him to grasp the fundamental sadness of the game.
