Oh my goodness me too! I think they look good. She’s still overdrawing them, which I've never liked the appearance of as a makeup look, but I think the larger lips themselves suit her face and bring a nice balance to her features. You're not alone! There's at least two of us.

I thought she had grave’s disease, which alters the appearance of the face? All this time I thought she hid her face because she is insecure about her appearance due to the disease.

Eh, it didn’t strike me as being bad. I figured it could be genuine concern. There is some evidence to suggest oil pulling can have bad side effects. It the oil is inhaled into the lung accidentally, it can become a breeding ground for lung infection. Also, like most homeopathic remedies, oil pulling can cause people

Nope, that’s just an old myth. It grows back the same color and no fuzzier than before. It’s just wee baby stubble! I shave every 2-3 days, but your mileage may vary.

Hm, I didn’t know there were different kinds! I buy the original Pond’s formula. You slather it all over your face, let it sit for a few minutes while you brush your teeth or whatever, and then wipe it off with a damp towel, if you want the moisturising benefits. If you worry that the thick greasy texture will clog

Heh, I just responded with the logical fallacy bit too. Let’s not be forgetting the once long-standing popularity of blood letting and the belief that humans were composed of humors... Eee!

I would like to point out that just because a tradition is centuries old does not indicate inherently that it has any medical benefit. Centuries old traditions do not always stand up to the rigors of scientific investigation, and the belief the it is old and therefore good is a logical fallacy called the “appeal (or

I. Love. Cold Cream. Nothing takes off makeup better. Even stubborn eye makeup. Nothing. Also, it leaves your face feeling touchably soft and moisturised without being greasy or shiny. At least, that’s how it works for me. I have very dry skin naturally, worse in winter. Not sure how it would work for people who tend

I shave my entire face because I dislike the look of peach fuzz, especially catching the sunlight! The “peach fuzz glow” is awful to me. Several of my friends have taken it up as well, and say their makeup goes on smoother. I find face shaving has the added benefit of being nicely exfoliating. I like “Flamingo

Lasering is so popular these days, personally I prefer electrolysis! Does anyone even know what this is anymore? With electrolysis there is no risk of skin discoloration (I’ve heard horror stories from friends who knew people with darker complexions and had lasering done). I get my electrolysis done by a woman out of

Couple months late to the game but... retinoids. Seriously, ask your derm or even your regular doc about a prescription strength retinoid. It may be a little pricey, since it is considered cosmetic, but if your doc has your back have them prescribe it for acne and if you have insurance it will probably be cheaper.

That’s not how that works at all. I mean, for some yes. Some women can’t tolerate the additional hormones of BC (weight gain, acne, mood swings &c) but for many women there are no negative side effect and their daily life benefits from these hormones.

Me too re an article about this! Whenever I tell other uterus owners about how I skip mine they’re like “whaa...?!” It’s really baffling to me. We’ve put people on the moon! Of course you can skip your period. It's good the word is getting out.

I'm really puzzled by the amount of people who've been awake for their colonoscopies on here. I told them to knock me out for that and they happily obliged. No way was I gonna be awake for them to stick a camera snake up my ass.

I use the phone alarm method myself as I am incredibly absentminded. I call it my “no baby alarm” and it works like a charm. I keep my BC in my makeup bag in my purse, so it’s always with me. This method hasn’t failed me yet!

Not to terrify you even further, but I tried an IUD myself and it was a nightmare. I’ve never given birth (my doctor told me an IUD can be easier to insert if you’ve given birth because the cervix is more relaxed) and I am also petite at 5’0. That being said, the first day she could not insert it because my cervix was

Hormones in the system is ultimately I think a personal decision. How does it make your body feel? How does it make you feel emotionally? For me, I’ve been taking the BC pill, and also been period free for three years, and I love it and will never look back. I take my birth control pill straight through, skipping the

The article did mention this, but I feel it’s eorth restating. You can skip the placebo week and move on to the next pill pack immediately. You have to have your doctor prescribe it to be renewed on a shorter cycle, but if the pill works for you and you don’t want a period, this is a completely effective method. I
