Irish usually use those terms for Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati, Baltimore, St. Louis and America.
Personally, I was glad to see Trent’s “I’m a complete asshole when I cheer for the Bills!” submission, because up to that point, I was starting to feel legitimately bad for Bills’ fans, as there was just an overload of pure, unadulterated sadness on display.
I dunno. I’m starting to think that the fan submissions have lost something overall. They just seem very repetitive as a whole. Like, people know what to write to get Drew to print them and that’s what they write. Who knows... maybe I’ve changed...
Same. Had no hesitation about watching football for 30 years, then starting last year I found myself starting to question it—player health and the league response, oligarch conspiracy vs Kaep, owner-friendly player contracts, Goodell. I’ll probably still watch some this year but I kind of see it fade away for me over…
Same boat, once I hit management... everything just sorta slowed down. I’ve got a great team, trained them up well, and gave them all the tools they need to succeed. Now I just wait for something to go wrong, correct it, and get back to Gawker.

Nobody is tired of sports. People are tired of Internet trolls being given their own show on ESPN.
I think ESPN spent too much for football, but I think we’re just tired of sports.
We aren’t tired of sports. We are tired of people talking about sports and having to stare at those people’s faces while they talk about sports.
And the olds who still care have moved on. There is no worthwhile information or opinion to be had on ESPN that can’t be found online in a much more intelligent fashion. Any of us who root for non-glamour franchises, you hear the national guys absolutely butcher their takes on our teams and it becomes abundantly clear…
Good point, but fortunately (for them), most of the leagues have locked up their contracts until at least 2020, if not further.
You have to look beyond the athletic urban commuter. Me, I commute on a 19 lbs cyclocross bike. However the vast majority of emerging urban commuters are going more with a European-style commute. Slower, more leisurely, less focus on “gear” and more focus on getting to work in their office clothes - on a bike. For…
