I found myself in that same particular situation a month or two ago (ok obviously slightly different).  I went to Best Buy and bought a Slim and then proceeded to download a game for like two days over hotel Wifi.  But damnit I still played my game.  

I knew it had Block in the name, but not somewhere where I can get to the PS4 so the exact name was lost to me.  

Also, once you start guarding, there’s a materia that increases your ATB gauge for blocking attacks. I don’t remember what it’s called but I had it equipped for pretty much the entire game.

Maaaaaaan... that’s beautiful. This is what I mean when I say that I don’t like the retro games aesthetic but still love pixel art.

I believe it starts you on the compass, although unverified, because I’m too lazy to start a new game. I managed to accidentally tap L2 twice at some point, turning off both the compass and minimap and played like a whole chapter that way I think before I realized what I’d done.

So I finally fought the dog fight.  Use Tifa, spam Starshower.  Dead dogs in seconds.  

Mystery Woman gets a name eventually, although I’ll admit that I’ve already forgotten what it is.  

Somehow my daughter discovered Broforce when she was like seven and that’s been pretty much the only game she will play on the PS4 for like the last three years.  

I never realized how much I used the backslash key until I tried to use someone’s keyboard with one of the L shaped Enter keys and then I wanted to throw it out the window.

Apparently they gave it to me free on Uplay once already.  I should probably play it one of these days.  

Oh, I thought Nordic ended up with the Relic stuff, I apparently didn’t look hard enough into it. It looks like you are correct. Well good on Sega then for doing something with it.  Now I feel dumb.

I never did play CoH, just it’s weird little brother, Dawn of War.  Again, impressed by what Nordic is doing with THQs old catalog of games.  Sure, they could sit on them and let the IPs rot, but they’re not and that’s awesome.

Oh no, that sucks.  

Everybody should be listening to Kirk’s podcast anyway.  It’s really good if you like musical nerdistry... or otherwise.

Agreed, both the fees mentioned are on the user’s end.  I don’t overdraft, and by sticking with a large crusty bank, their ATMs are plentiful.  

Staring into my backlog is akin to staring into the infinite void. But I do have two goals. I have been working on it since release, but I want to finally get a character current on the story in Final Fantasy XIV. I’ve been playing it on and off since the ARR release, and am still only somewhere in Heavensward, which…
