weren't all sidewalks supposed to be replaced with these things by now? And why aren't we wearing silver jumpsuits already? It's 20 effin 10!

substitute 'new technologies' with 'religion' and his point becomes even more relevant.

I spent 3 years traveling the world via thumb, kindness and an open, positive attitude between 1992 and late '95. Back then I didn't have any tech, only my youth and a hunger for new adventures. I didn't join any squatting or 'permanent traveler 'subculture' though. Instead, I worked as I could or needed and ended

@zelannii: have to agree. just put a 320Gb Scorpio blue drive (my 160Gb factory install was full but functional) into my 2007 15" MCP and must say it's like having a new laptop: speedy, superfast and in 3 years hasn't crashed ONCE. And I'm on it 8-10 hours a day most days. Try any of that w/ a PC.

Are we to leave those who can't afford access to information out to fend for themselves? This seems a slippery slope to a

@—Core—: Don't be too sure you have all the info- these massive argifarms retail under sometimes dozens of brands.

I see a Blue Velvet remake set during 9/11 in the works.

Good riddance. It was Blockbuster that forcing out all the mom and pop video stores so 'eff 'em. Couldn't find a decent movie there, anyway. And no porn too boot.

"I consider it the only safe way to explore the ocean." - This is the saddest thing I've read lately. Really? I trust you are being sarcastic - hope beyond hope that your comment doesn't reflect a generation of young people afraid and ignorant of the wild world around them in exchange for a dull, monotonous 'urban'
