I work at a technology company. Boss is out of the office this week so I didn’t think it would be appropriate for me to take off work. We’re probably 40% female here; I appear to be the only one wearing red. I’m a little put off by this, which seems silly to me.

This is my dad’s point of view, sadly. Every time I mention oh, you know, having some sliver of empathy for others, he comes back with how “they” (I can’t bear to ask him who constitutes this magical group) waste our money and don’t pay taxes.
