I’ve been a vocal critic about the amount of cosplay kotaku runs as stories. Please forgive me.

Perhaps “tabloid” or “tawdry” would have been a better descriptor.

From wickionary:

I don’t go to this site at work exactly because it is nsfw. That’s kinda my point.

I’m simply stating my point of view that Kotaku regularly goes for the titilating and vulgar approach and (to me) it’s juvenile, crass and off putting. Why does the fact that I have a different option from you make you so aggressive and angry? Are you frequently a bully or only when you have the safety of anonymity?

I pay Kotaku writers bills as much as anyone else does here - reading regularly, click on the occasional sponsored post, buying stuff that’s been promoted. I’m fairly certain I represent some segment of like-minded individuals. Frankly, there is plenty of good and plenty of garbage on this site. Not sure what your

I realize snark is easier to pull off than intelligent discourse, however you’ve brought nothing to the conversation. I’ve stated a legitimate point of view, what have you got?

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out.

I suppose if you prefer a video game site which is routinely NSFW and frequently inappropriate for minors then that is your choice. i would prefer more games and less trash and salacious headlines. Certainly I’m on the wrong site for this I realize.

Patricia, why does kotaku have to stoop to crass, click-bait headlines? Honestly, I can’t even open this site at work anymore. I suppose a little decorum would be too much to ask?

I suppose I’ll be a lone voice of questioning here: can someone tell me why they believe that those without legal status should be shielded from deportation? I would personally expect to be deported from literally any other country on earth should I be there illegally. Why should the US behave differently? I’m not

Clearly there are no limits to the stupid stuff people become “upset” about. Being “upset” has become a virtue regardless of the reason one feels it.

To be fair, my true issue is how much attention dress up gets on this site. Nah, cosplay is stupid.

These “stories” are easy for the editors since essentially all it requires is posting pics. The value to gamers such as myself is very low. Looking at adults play dress up is ridiculous and only tangentially related to gaming. But then again, kotaku loves posting more crap than substance these days.

Cosplay, for people who never grow out of the “look at me!” phase.

Surely 3 articles about your cosplay party is enough? It’s like getting trapped looking at someone else’s vacation photos. Once is fine but more than that stresses the social convention.

Cosplay is rapidly becoming the bane of this site. Certainly makes for easy stories though!

I’m not sure that I can articulate why I feel this way but I can’t stand cos play. I appreciate the creativity and hard work which goes into making a fabulous costume but can’t get past what feels like wonton and pathetic attention seeking. Whenever someone goes into public with a “look at me" attitude I feel the

“Cool as fuck?” Are you for real?
