Me too!

Too late, you have reverse cancerAIDS now.

Ha ha! My 9 year old daughter made a Transmogrifier this year too. (Wait, are you my wife?)

Same here. Even better is seeing my own kids discover the magic for themselves. A few weeks ago I got mad because I found my previously-pristine C&H 10th Anniversary Book falling apart. Then I realized, oh, it's because my daughter has read this book 20 times through this year.

Of course Hobbes is real! He exists in Calvin's imagination!

This is literally the first time I've ever heard of Alpha House. I heard about it from a comment on the season finale review of Transparent.

That is awesome. Playing Super Mario Galaxy with my then-4-year-old daughter was similar for me— the game itself was great, but playing it alongside her the whole time made it all-time memorable.

Reading this thread with all the references to Patrices Pieces and Turd Crapley and Tapas the Morning to Jah is giving me the weirdest mixture of laughing and crying. I guess that's Harris Wittels for you.

Even while up to the usual podcast hijinks he always displayed an incredible amount of vulnerability, honesty, and just… human-ness that's so rare to find anywhere, in anyone, any medium.

Coach? Coach? Coach? Coach? Coach? Hey, coach? Coach?

My only complaint (and it's not necessarily a flaw, just the way I play the game) is that there's not enough incentive to develop characters differently. It seems most efficient to just make every character focus on physical attacks with some healing spells. Same thing with equipment; I don't see any reason to focus

I accept your jealous gaze! Even better, it's my first time playing it. Might be my favorite FF battle system.

Still playing Final Fantasy XII, loving it, and I think getting close to the end. I also started a playthrough of the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy after they were on sale recently, but my problem is that I rarely have time to sit in front of a TV and I always have time to sit in front of a computer.

Wait, Maggie Smith isn't actually the Queen of England?

I love Kathleen Hanna so much.

Chronological by release date or by canon placement?

It's been probably 15 years since I played it to 102%, and I doubt I'll ever be able to beat the Lost World levels again without judicious savestates. But DKC2 is still platforming perfection. The mid 90s were pretty good for platformers, huh? All 3 DKCs, Yoshi's Island and Super Mario World…

I hate haircuts! I cut my own hair for years and it always looked like shit, but now that I have a job where I have to interact with people I have to get real haircuts. Why do they always want to talk the whole time??

This weekend: playing Final Fantasy XII, still in the Stilshrine of Miriam, but not dying as much thanks to new weapons and armor from y'all's gil-raising tips last week.

Not only does fast travel break immersion for me, it changes the way I play. It makes the game easier and encourages more… "gamey" playing, like stocking up on a bunch of loot and teleporting to sell it rather than making judicious choices on what to carry through a dungeon.
