Fun fact: Tom Hulce, who played attorney Steven Brillstein in Fearless, shadowed my dad (a personal injury lawyer) for a few days as research. When my mom and I saw the movie, there were a couple of moments where Hulce did specific verbal things that he got from my dad, and my mom and I lost our minds laughing.

Stunning plane crash and a fantastic performance by Bridges.

Also, it’s evolved into a remarkable Bay Area time capsule.

Would an idiot be raising 2 little boys who thought the Barbie movie was emasculating?

My personal favorite regular bringdown feature for Maher is that - no matter how “wise/pithy/deep” his big finish to New Rules makes him feel, he *has* to follow it up with “Hey folks, I’ll be at the Chuckle Hut in Yorba Linda and the Ha-Ha Room in Albuquerque next week...” It must drive him nuts.

A few years ago, I was backpacking through Europe and ended up in Malta

Broadcast TV stations needed weekday afternoon programming, and back then it was whatever cartoon they could pick up on the cheap (Or “Our Gang” or Three Stooges shorts, another thing that has faded into obscurity).

That’s a Trump level burn right there.

Yup. Hiring a reporter to interview you and then throwing a toddler-like tantrum when they ask a few tough but obvious questions is the most Elon Musk move imaginable.

Add JFK (91) to that list. One of the best of the non-Spielberg soundtracks from that time period.

I would go so far as to say that his score for “The Empire Strikes Back” is one of the 100 greatest musical works of the 20th century. He absolutely should be considered as one of the great composers in history.

I still think his score for Superman might be the pinnacle of his work. I also realize we don’t look at it in the same way, but honestly, shouldn’t John Williams be considered one of the greatest composers of all-time? Like, I’m saying, doesn’t he deserve to be put in the conversation with Beethoven and Mozart and the

First sign of change: All outdoor shots will now be filmed in front of any business contributing at least one dish to the catering tent. Shots in ‘space’ will simply be shot at night with no lighting.

I swear, if they replace Lee Pace’s eyebrow stylist, I’m going to be pissed.

Yes, also a terrific scene - but I get irritated now when I see it because in syndication they switched the background song playing from “What’ll I do?” by Irving Berlin (which fit the scene perfectly) and replaced it with generic elevator music.

Earlier in the episode it also has one of my favorite exchanges, when Sam

Yes, this. I just think of Diane repeating “I’ll be back in six months!” with a bemused, why-dont-you-believe-me look on her face - while Sam’s expression is one of resigned sadness because he knows the truth. Great scene.

Yeah I mean they’re the gold standard among couples that do the will they / won’t they...and then don’t.

Im shocked at the lack of Sam and Diane in this list. They may be a cliche now, but they're the couple that the cliche was named after for a reason.
