What sucks is telling your kid that, and they understand, then they see and hear of their friends having an epic birthday party at LegoLand with 75 kids or some shit. All summer long, we kept our kids home and away from everyone, and all summer long, we’d drive past full parks and playgrounds and pools.

Yeah, I remember magazines like EW declaring 2000 The Year That Change Movies and it really seemed like it at the time. Just an embarrassment of choices to go see. And 2000 was like a hangover after all that greatness. Honestly the first few years of the 2000s were kinda weak for movies in general. 

And yet in two years, with god knows how many bodies at their feet, the dipshit trifecta of Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton will all soar to re-election against whatever non-entity Texas Democrats run against them. Texas is never, ever turning blue and anyone who says that should be kicked in the taint.
