Big is one of my favorite movies. By the time it came out, there’d been a couple other body switch comedies and you’d think it would have been played out, but it managed to find new ground. And god damn the very end chokes me up.

That was Gene Hackman!

One of the “victims” they claimed they had about Mueller was Wohl’s girlfriend for fuck’s sakes!

I discovered that channel too and promptly got hooked. Largely because I am absolutely smitten by Claire Saffitz now, but it’s also got some good, often funny, stuff on there.

I cannot get enough of that Jacob Wohl story. It’s replaced the Mooch’s tenure as Press Secretary as my favorite piece of schadenfreude ever. How their story never even had a chance; within seconds of being made public it was meticulously picked apart and exposed. And yet they persisted! And to top off all the

I’ve been waiting months for that one to drop. Very high on the list of movies I want my daughter to see.

Not being able to find guanciale, I’ve taken to using good quality (ahem, homemade) slab bacon in place of pancetta in this. I think the smokey flavors really work well off the tomato sauce, chilies, and pecorino.

I was going to lament that in this day and age, Fox News would be painting her as an enemy of the state for reaching out to a hostile foreign power, and she and her family would be receiving death threats. But then I remembered, hey, it’s Russia, and now I’m confused and sleepy.

He’d already shit the bed in 2008, during his disastrous presidential bid in the primaries, when he got hit with the “Noun, a verb, and 9/11" burn from Biden. So you’d have to go back even further for residual goodwill.

Yep, this is my issue. No store I’ve been to in the Houston area carries ziti. It’s all penne. And yes, restaurants offering “baked ziti” all use penne instead. I finally had to order a three pack of ziti from Amazon.

The prospect of going through either the Red Wedding again, or Oberyn vs. The Mountain is what keeps me from wanting to rewatch the series. I get sick to my stomach just thinking back on sitting through them the first time. For the Red Wedding I had deduced what was going to happen, so I was full of dread the entire

“Global warming means that it will never snow again, anywhere, ever.”

BTTF reboot/sequel/remake has long been my “YOU SHALL NOT PASS” line, but it is pretty inevitable at some point.

I knew him as an actor for years before I found out, relatively recently, about his magic craft. When Kevin Pang idly posted a link to the 52 assistants HBO special, I found myself watching the entire thing in one go. It was a joy to watch him work.

I don’t understand how Netflix has all of the monty pythons EXCEPT Holy Grail, the one thing I really want to see. I tried to introduce my daughter to them through Flying Circus and that didn’t go so well.

OTIS-burg!

You can’t print that!

Oh yeah. And Phyllis too, yeah? He sends her birds now and again?

I hope it doesn’t happen. But if they did bring it back, wouldn’t it have to be with a mostly new cast? Maybe Dwight, Stanley, Angela, Oscar and Kevin still around but didn’t everyone else pretty much move away? It’d be pretty depressing to pull Michael, Pam and Jim back into the fold after they got such a nice
