I would liken this to being halo 3: Blue Shift.

Blockbuster doesn't charge more.

Logitech "wave". It's a beautifully comfortable design.

Frankly it's hard to be impressed. It's hard to knock something that doesn't technically exist yet, however.

Linux is nearly distraction free. So when I want to get work done on the computer, particularly long bouts of word processing Linux gives me a nice asthetic work environment, kind of the equivalent of very good digital feng sui, and I particularly like the desktop layout which allows me to fragment work to stay

@monkeyboy: They can't and won't. Radio, it's like radio. They can't and won't touch you as long as you're not making the music available for download.

I find that "Pepto Bismol" does great to settle an eeky stomach. It's a viscous pink liquid that tastes awful if you don't know what it is or where to find it, generically it probably only costs a few dollars a bottle.

FlashFXP is my favorite FTP app. All others seem to pale in comparison. It's use of favorite local and server side folders and 'recent' FTP accesses is really nice.

The prius should be #1. That car may as well come in two colors: Pink and Mauve. Gaur-an-damn-teed not to get you laid ever again.

A spreadsheet. Mm'kay?

If there is a ninja in the vicinity I recommend you not drop that spoon..Millions of lives depend on not dropping it.

I think merely leaving your expensive laptop at home is the safest solution. Don't bring it unless you absolutely need it. No...Myspasce/facebook/friendster aren't necessities. Frankly you'll probably enjoy your trip more if you're not worrying about it being stolen/seized/damaged.

@sapguy: Hardly a fair comparison. You're traveling to your own destination, not being starved, worked or gassed to death by Nazis under orders. It's a rather pointless and childish comparison. Seriously, going through security is not at all comparable to a concentration camp. Chill out.

TSA is actually fairly friendly from my experiences and the experiences of my friends and family who travel by air frequently. Cooperation will most likely lower any suspicions they have of you. A TSA-Approved bag will most likely make them glad they don't have to do a bunch of extra screening for you -enabling them

FCR.com probably has it's uses for those who've accumulated more credit and spent more time using it over the course of a lifetime. I'm considerably younger, though I have a credit card or two and a Car Loan so I was curious. FCR doesn't really match my needs for the moment, though it is good to know that they're good

Add onto all of their reasoning: Stockloss, Stocking and all of the other things that figure into the profitability of a retail location. 300%-1000% markup (I've seen $10 cables sell for $99 at best buy) is still far more than necessary. A %25 markup would cover all of these things and if they weren't so damn

@x3r0: I work at a plant that produces 'off brand' products, they're just as good, seriously you can buy off-brand Sodium Naproxen Tabs or Alieve (...which is Sodium Naproxen Tablets), they're the same product that does the same thing.

@arod: You described what's called a 'cold site' in technical terms, something most home users don't realize is necessary when dealing with sensitive or large volumes of data that are subject disasters and other incidences that are defined as 'acts of god' (or in lieu thereof [insert deity here], though the technical

Apples to Oranges is a good analogy, one is a desktop application.
