Yeah, a reviewer doesn't necessarily have to like a show, but it would probably help if they didn't actively hate it. There's a reason we read the AV Club instead of, say, Television Without Pity, and the treatment Teen Wolf has gotten from Phil is pretty lousy.

At least his hair was tamed in this episode, because the standing-on-end fluffiness he's had going on up top this season has actually distracted pretty well from his terrible acting and pointlessness as a character, if only because when he is on screen I am yelling, "WHAT IT UP WITH YOUR HAIR?"

Why, oh why isn't the tracking shot scene from the S4 finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in here? It was a brilliant moment of using the physical layout of the set to create the dream/ nightmare setting for Xander's subconscious.
