The bloody 100th are a unique part of the war. They were given lip because they had 3 hots and a cot next to your standard grunt in WW2.....but then they were more likely to die with a 1 in 5 chance to survive their 25 mission tour of duties.

They are the poster children of ‘avoid at all costs at the party’

I believe it.

Wings was seriously one of those types of bands you felt were in it for the pure fun of it and to enjoy each other’s talents. They were so eclectic and seemed to have a real freedom to branch out and try new shit.

I once got a appreciative nod from the chinese family that runs my local chinese restaurant for loving their spicy vegetable fried tofu plate and when I asked why, they said that typical americans usually give it a pass because it doesn’t contain meat and they consider it one of their best dishes.

It wasn’t bad but you had to know a bit about Elvis to get the in jokes. But if you did, it hit really well at both poking fun at him and making it entertaining.  I think it would have tickled E as he was known to be a bit of a goofball when not in the public eye.

Oh yea....there was some natural rivalry but nothing in the realm of the movie.

Hemsworth did awesome but man, did Daniel Bruhl absolutely capture lightning in a bottle by playing Lauda, IMHO. He really, really did justice to that amazing man.

I remember that Long Beach threw up a fit when their street race came in the early 80's. The city settled into it over the years and its pretty popular now. The locals and the surrounding areas have adjusted enough to it to not have it be a detriment overall. A lot simply avoid the city like a zombie plague was going
